Didn't see where anyone mentioned Oregon playing Creighton for the CBI championship. Former Creighton Coach Dana Altman's Ducks will play his former team the Bluejays. We all know who also is on the Oregon staff, former ISU Coach Kevin McKenna.

I had NOT even noticed that matchup developing. How hysterical is that? Talk about a Creighton connection? That one is definitely worth watching. I will be rooting for CU. And yes, I always root for any Valley team when they are tourney's, even the Shockers (as long as they are NOT playing us).

Yeah, Valley teams winning in a tournament helps the whole conference.
Last I looked, our conference RPI was 12th. These teams keep winning we might go up a notch or two. That's the way I look at it, plus you want your conference doing positive things, not losing almost every bracketbuster game or in the MWC challenge. Positive breeds positive.

on a side note, this will be Creighton's TWENTY THIRD home game this season, that is incredible!

That match up might help the CBI get more attention. I'm not sure winning it means much for the MVC though. MSU won one of those last year, according to another thread I was just reading here, and no one hardly noticed. I guess CU's and WSU's success in the post season means something to us though. They'll likely get all of the pre-season attention, as usual, going into next season. Takes a bit of the buzz away from ISU, but so be it. Let us be low on the radar again and use it to our advantage once more.

not sure about where it is televised...it should be--I forgot that this is the tournament that has the "Best of 3" format for the championship. Monday @ Creighton then Wednesday at Oregon & Friday (if necessary) at Oregon

Just heard on Sports Center...............VCU won the CBI tournament last year. Interesting. I'm sure those extra 4-5 games at the end of the year help in the next season if you have a lot coming back.
