A couple of those guys were walk-ons so they'll likely be back on the roster when it can go back to the full roster but not 100% on that. Quite a few of those guys quit the team or left because they didn't feel they were going to get playing time. Then, there are a couple on there that had scholarships revoked because they didn't fit the new scheme. Pretty typical surrounding a coaching change.
 
No idea. Even though we were a run first team with Shakir. I felt Spencer was a huge underachiever. Being a 4 star recruit (I know stars don't always matter) at the FCS level, he should of been an all-star. Another shocker for me was Nick Rice. Started most games for us last year at left guard, played in all the games. Does anyone know if Rice was there during spring? I didn't get to make it for any practices or scrimmages.

So who is our third string running back now? I didn't realize that many guys were gone. Have to re-familiarize myself with the roster. Wasn't Shields also a pretty highly touted recruit? Can't believe we're that thin at Oline now. Honestly, no one on there we can't do without, but that's a lot of turnover. More than I would have expected from a winning team.
 
There is a JUCO kid on campus that I haven't made a profile for and the staff is still looking for more I believe.
 
I looked at the roster last night and we do have 8-9 offensive linemen. Not sure how many will play or how good they are, but that's better than six, and truthfully, we usually don't play more than that anyway.

One must anticipate injuries to say nothing about practice.

If kids don't want to play, there's nothing you can really do about it. Some just decided not to play anymore, some decided that the summer workouts weren't their thing, and some may be back. Remember, when Miles first came their were all of 40-something players available for the spring game, including 5 OL's. Never good to see the turnover, but it happens everywhere, for the most part for the best.

I said we only have six on scholarship, as a player told me. Hope the quality of walkons and late July stragglers is better than I would predict.
