Am I the only one right now that feels like (outside of Lathan) that RJ is our most competent scorer on the team? Additionally, I really loved his aggressiveness with the basketball last night. Believe he had 10 points in like 10-15 minutes or something like that -- don't have the box handy.

Oh, that little banking runner off the elbow was a Bird shot. Even the announcers got a kick out of him going glass there. Hoping he has a good Old Spice Classic since we'll see more length in the upcoming games.

He is most definitely our most complete scorer. I like how even though he is an unathletic guy he is using so much moxie in his gameplay.

How many airball 3's in the last couple of games ? I know of 2 at least he has shot.

He's 1/5 for 3's in limited action over 2 games. That is NOT a problem. We know he can shoot the 3-ball at 40%. I think we will see a lot of him before the year is over.

I want to see what KD can do, also.

Gotta believe his health has limited his conditioning and therefore his playing time.He looked pretty gassed last night.Hopefully things will improve so he has more stamina as the season goes on.He obviously can contribute.

Yet he was on the floor diving for loose balls when the Sycamores needed them.

I agree with all of the above. He looked like he was limping when he came out for the last time last night. Glad he's OK, and hope he rounds into game shape by this weekend.

I think he's our best bet to be an outside threat besides JP.

I like the fact that he's playing like there's no tomorrow in his limited minutes, obviously recognizing the value of GAME conditioning v. PRACTICE.
He'll be ready come MVC time...

I am a HUGE fan of RJ as well--you know that he is giving 100% effort at all times when he is on the court. He doesn't quite have JP range yet, but, he does have a great stroke--the kind where it always looks good coming out of his hand (regardless of if it is 2 feet short, or, over the backboard).

As far as his minutes are concerned, I don't know if he will ever play more than 20 minutes a game (I HOPE I AM WRONG). Last year he averaged 10 minutes per game. I recall him looking gassed quite a bit last year (while averaging only 10 minutes per game). His "high" for minutes last year was 20, against UNI. I don't know whether this is a byproduct of the circulatory condition, or, maybe, he just always looks like he is gassed (because he is leaving it all on the court).

One other item of note from last year's stats is that he averaged 1.7 fouls per game (in that 10 minutes he was playing).

For you statistical geeks out there, here is a link to lots of interesting info on RJ (along with the rest of the team), including his +/- and various other statistical sundries.

Gotta tell you. Just glad he is still alive! Longest week of my life last week. Don't really care what happens, just want him to try and help us win. Love this team. Hope we finish strong.
