Maybe not but he does make our offense more diverse and gives us the best chance to score. He just went in for his second TD.
That's fine. However, you could also use him in the backfield and in the slot and get his ball in the hands, too. When he isn't running, he is terrible in seeing the field. In that first drive, he missed several wide open receivers and I'd imagine he did the same in the part of the game I missed. He also missed a lot of guys in the YSU game I was at.

Bent, we agree:bigsmile: glad we can can get along

He gives us more of a wildcat "O"

Yeah, but we're in the minority here. I've been saying for a while that I like Roberts back there, if only because he gives our offense more life.

I would prefer a pocket passer but in this case hes a positive.......and I will take that ya know? please stick it in the endzone blue please

If our O line could provide consistent protection, I would love to see what a combo Stutz to Roberts could be. With Roberts' size and speed, he could be a game-changing receiver. Stutz has a better arm, and with protection could rifle the ball downfield to possibly the fastest guy out there.

All in all, today was a great performance for Roberts. Without him, we don't do anything.

I don't know why people think Stutz has a cannon. He does not. He also has a low, funny release. There is a reason he was like the Oklahoma high school POY and ended up @ Wyoming and not OU.

What offense did

Stutz run in HS? The Bob Stoops Special?!

Has Stutz said why he went to Wyoming vs. Stillwater or Norman?

I think Roberts looked as good as he could today. he actually threw the ball and though he doesn't have an great arm it is certainly sufficient for the talent we have at wide receiver. I was impressed overall, he ran well, he threw relatively well considering he seldom had much time in the pocket (and he seems to throw better when he is moving anyway). All in all I think he is a pretty talented kid, much more talented and more comfortable than the others...

It first I didnt think Ryan was gonna be a good QB, but with more time he could be very deadly. One thing that I dont like is, as soon as he feels alittle bit of pressure he tries to take off, which I understand, but if he gets some time or a lane he could burn you with his feet for hit you with the deep ball.. Good Job Double R

I have not been a big supporter of Roberts at QB because I think he is better suited elsewhere, but after being at the game yesterday, he is clearly the best QB on the roster. If he can continue to develop his confidence in throwing the intermediate and long passes, and improves on his ability to go through his reads and see the field, he could be more than serviceable--he could turn into a top tier MVFC QB. Many of the "scrambles" yesterday were due to receivers not being able to get any separation. I've got to give the O Line some credit. Although they were playing against a pretty young and somewhat undersized Ill St D Line, they did a great job yesterday. The receivers also blocked much better than I had seen them do this season. Keep that up, and get the defense to play to their capability, and we might have something.

You might have an offense, if you put Stutzriem back under center.

I hope he's a great quarterback for us in the future, but he's had his chances this season and the team struggled to move the ball. The offense has been better under Roberts. We're moving the ball now and scoring.
