Can't say I am surprised by either bit of news.
If Clinks had not cancelled the rollover based on the past season and our third losing season in a row, I would feel strongly he isn't the AD I hope he is.
Doubt this hurts recruiting too much. Can't hurt as bad as our budget, empty arena and losing season.

We know 2 that are expendable. One of those might have potential. I wouldn't be too crazy about losing any of the others.

LOL - It was a BIG DEAL for the past season, as he was expected to fill the role of K-Smith, and he never came close to filling the VOID.
Since when do you recruit JC players for "5 yr. projects?"
To be fair Bank - if you go back to nearly every thread with predictions made about a player or about a game etc. you will most always find someone who is wrong. You also can't blame fans about getting excited about getting a kid - that is what fans are supposed to do.
I guess I'm just saying pulling random comments that our members made isn't really productive at this point. Said player didn't come in and produce and you wanna call out forum members comments?? Because they actually put on the uniform and shit the bed.

You just need to reflect on what your own expectations were. He certainly was a better athlete and a better shooter than Smith.
I wouldn't "blame" this season on Franklin.
If you are just pointing out that some "expectations" were too high, well, duh.

I admit i was highish on him coming in based on numbers and interest....But after actually seeing him live i immediately said oh shit he's got a long way to go to be decent for us. I won't fault anyone for being excited about recruits....but the proof is in the pudding once they arrive and play...he flat out couldn't get it done at this level. Mostly a mental approach and iq thing with him, but lets not act like he was some great athlete...maybe average athleticism for his position??big disrespect to Smith comparing them

Yes, Smith was a good player for us. I just wish he would have taken some of that arch off of his shot. He did make some big plays and big shots for us. It's not fair to compare Franklin to him. Smith was an old man with lots of maturity and experience.
