dr. bucket, by any chance are you a member of the ACLU?
"Unfortunately for these people, paying college athletes is now a subject on the table, and it's not going to come off. Consequently, what these critics need to do, will do and have already done, is shift their tactics opposing the payment of athletes to convincing everyone else that college athletes are already being paid. This is nothing new; simultaneously adopting two contradictory conclusions has always lain at the heart of disingenuously championing amateurism. ... That said, concluding that athletes are already satisfactorily compensated merely superimposes the large flaws of the system on three already flawed conditions."

Don't attempt to answer a question by asking a question. Doing so is evasive. I don't play that game.
just want to know why it's such an important question. it's not an unreasonable request. although i kind of get the feeling that you don't think too highly of the aclu and would like to cast me in the reflection of the negative light you believe it gives off.
so until i know why you want to know, no dice. homey don't play that game.
and answering a question with a question is socratic not evasive and why are you the only one with the right to ask questions
Truthfully, I don't know all that much about the ACLU, other than they seem to interject themselves into human rights issues. Sometimes I agree with their argument(s) and sometimes I don't.
I see your stance on paying athletes as a human rights issue in your mind which I don't agree with.
So, hopefully that answers your question. Now, answer mine.
it doesn't answer the question of why you want to know if i'm a member. it tells us what you know about the organization and what you believe me to think about an issue but i can't find an answer as to why it is so important for you to know whether i am a member of the aclu.
what organizations do you belong to?
just remember what groucho said: I don't care to belong to a club that accepts people like me as members.
My question is if you are so passionate on this subject why don't you take your commentary somewhere you may find support at?
the subject of why he wants to know if i'm an aclu member is only germane to him and me
