The three pitchers that Northeastern is starting this weekend are all upperclassmen. Just looking at their stats and historical stats...if nothing else, they are battle-tested.

While I believe we have been the premier Northern mid-major the last decade. It is truly remarkable the program Northeastern runs. Based out of Massachusetts and are consistently top 50 RPI every season. They do get a little help being in the CAA with schools from Virginia, North and South Carolina but still impressive what that program does.

Indiana State, UConn, and Northeastern have really been the 3 northern schools doing the most with the geographical disadvantages they face.

We should try that with St Louis but the cardinals probably wouldn't like getting beat by us.
Nah, I want as little to do with "the Lou" as possible outside Arch Madness. We should shoot for the White Sox instead, if they didn't make any big offseason moves to counter the worst MLB season in modern era history, I think we'd actually be favored.

Although, we could have an effigy of Thumb at the game and people could throw baseballs at him. After this season at SLU, this might be a money maker!!!

Northeastern continues to have our number. They lead 6-0 in the 5th. Karst had another poor outing. I'm not sure he's the the guy for the #1 spot in the rotation. Only made it 2+ with lots of control issues and gave up 5 runs. He struggled with command in the loss against Wagner, but they didn't really capitalize on it. Wagner may have made us look a lot better than we are.

Offense has done nothing today. My goodness, how bad is Wagner's pitching. NU has shut us down through 17 innings....5 hits is all we've mustered....yikes. Trailing 1-0 bottom 8, but Northeastern is treating to stretch it open..2 on no outs. Hope we can pull this one out, but not looking promising.

And unfortunately I was right. A 3 run homer puts NU up 4-0 still no outs in the bottom of the 8th. Looks like we will drop to 3-3 on the season.
