Better be a home run, after nearly 50 yrs fed up up with the way things are run, HC is well over half empty, status quo and wait till next year isn't working anymore for me....done venting

A very important time for Sycamore athletics. Will know shortly if the $$$ for a search firm was a wise expenditure.

Surprised there have been no leaks.

Me too. I worked the "room" at the game yesterday all afternoon and did not hear a "definite" on the pick at all, just that I heard the announcement was coming today or tomorrow. Rumor mills were obviously out on Coach and i'll see if anybody got their thoughts confirmed. After the end of this season yesterday, I was truly glad it is all over. At least they ended it with a W. More on my thoughts on "The State of State" soon.

Clink wasn't my first choice, but I think he'll be very good. People will want to follow him, he'll be able to get donors to buy into where he wants to go, and in all of his statements, he's been adamant that coaches must be held accountable for their records. I think he'll be able to lead ISU to the next level.

Welcom to the Forest, Sherard!!!

Congrats to you Mr Clinkscales. Looking forward to meeting you at a game and seeing the fruits of your labor in the future.

Sherard Clinkscales hired as director of athletics

A graduate of Purdue and most recently senior associate athletics director at North Carolina State University, Clinkscales' initial focus will be on marketing, ticket sales and fundraising.

Well, what is the scoop on coach? The last time the AD changed so did the coach.

I hear he is STAYING but I can't say that for sure because I don't have the connections I used to. I do NOT think he is going to be fired. He stays or he resigns from what I picked up yesterday. To be honest, who's going to come in and do ANY better? The whole situation sucks and I am pissed and very disappointed in how this season played out. Greg has support from many that I talked to however.
