You know, in all my years of following the MVC, I've never seen a beat writer for a league school openly trash other schools and their cities like this d-bag. What a complete joke. Like most SWMS fans, he doesn't even realize his asshattery. And he, like all SWOMO fans, has no reason for his superior attitude. In the words of my grandfather, I'd like to buy him for what he's worth, and sell him for what he thinks he's worth.

At first I thought these tweets were just his lame attempt at being funny and gaining some Twitter interaction because, let’s face it…tweeting like Todd Golden, while informative, doesn’t garner much reaction.

Now, though, he’s just coming across as a grade-A prick. Someone with an undeserved and pathetic superiority complex. It’s almost like he’s mad he has to live and work in Springfield so he’s taking his loser aggression out on everyone else.

Also, he’s made it very clear he’s not a MSU fan. He’s just stuck in journalism purgatory.

Re: "Wyatt Earp" and his Mattel spurs, he must've missed the "Baseball & Apple Pie" camera shots of the children playing & having a GOOD TIME at a Div I college baseball game...and Urdaneta signing autographs. This is RECRUITING @ it's best! During an era of declining enrollments, the NCAA needs this.

The one thing we can all agree on. I have never seen a beat writer in the league, or even out of it just go so far above and beyond in his trashing. Of course, when people call him out for it, he resorts to the "hey, lighten up..everyone knows I am joking" bit.

I follow all the league beat writers on twitter. IMO, Golden was actually one of the best. I traded a little smack with Golden over the years, but you always knew it was lighthearted and in good fun. Not the case with Wyatt, he takes things way too far, all for the amusement of the few SWOMO groupies he has. It's like he doesn't realize he is the beat writer and not an annonymous fanboy on social media. While he works for Gannet, he is a representative of the university. I would think his ongoing public trashing of fellow conference schools would raise a few eyebrows on campus. He certainly doesn't give me a favorable impression of the place.
 
Golden was the best at asking layup questions, never coming up with a unique or creative idea of his own, never rocking the boat & asking tough questions, writing about things that don’t matter like his whopping cough or his favorite 70’s rock band…

Golden was one of the best at being not the best.
