That's pretty awesome. Would love to go down there and beat the Hoosiers like we did the last time we had a yearly series going with them in basketball.

Honestly, I felt a lot better about the series with them prior to Kevin Wilson getting that gig. He is already recruiting much better over there and there are rumors he will land the #1 QB recruit in the country this year.

I agree with this. A good showing by the Sycamores at Penn State this year will get IU's attention next year.

If you think about it, scheduling us makes a lot of sense for IU as well as the Trees. Say they played William and Mary or Lehigh from 1AA instead of us. Either of those schools would not bring that many fans the game, maybe a few hundred if they're lucky. On the other hand, Indiana State will bring thousands (could be 1,000 or if we are really good, 3-4000. Hell we had 3500 in the middle of our losing streak so obviously, it could even be higher than that! Then we are renting tents for Alumni pre-game and paying IU for that as well. All that makes us a good opponent without a doubt.

The last two games in Bloomington, especially the first one, were OUTSTANDING alumni events for ISU and people came out of the woodwork for both of those two games. I love it. Now if I can just get into Nicks for post game libation.?

Looks like Gunner Kiel did commit to IU today. He's Rival's #1 QB in the country, rated 4-stars with offers from pretty much every big program in the country.

That should be interesting. By the time Gunner gets to IU, I think his older brother (who is already there) will be a junior. Brothers competing for the starting QB job....talk about your sibling rivalries. But I guess it won't be much of a competition if Gunner is as good as advertised.

Not much competing will be going on IMO. Gunner is a much better prospect and is suited for the Oklahoma spread offense which I assume Wilson will use. His brother was really a MAC level prospect that lucked out due to the fact Bill Lynch was clueless when it came to recruiting.

I sure hope so. I look forward to the visits and love the fact our money games will be played within 2 hours of my house so I can actually attend.

Wouldn't it be interesting.....

if Gunner's older brother says, "Hey, I don't want to sit and watch my younger brother play. So I am going to transfer out." And he comes to Indiana State.

Tjames, I could live with that but I doubt he is as good as Ronnie is. Ronnie is a rare find for a FCS team. Heard a person well connected say that there is a good chance Ronnie will be NFL bound

Ronnie will get an NFL look.....

but he's going to have to continue to improve his overall game and decision making. It's all there in front of him if he wants it bad enough and works at it hard enough.

There have been a lot of good college quarterbacks who didnt get drafted as high as people told them or didnt get taken at all and were forced to enter the league as undrafted free agents.

Every draft there is some "can't miss" college quarterback who doesn't get selected by the NFL.

Yeah case in point, Pat Devlin from the University of Delaware. Signed by Miami yesterday.

Certainly not anyone that follows college football recruiting.

I value Rivals first, Scout second and ESPN a distant third although if they keep expanding their college site network, they'll start to catch Scout, which is a dying network IMO. There is a new one, 247 Sports, which is gaining ground quick and will likely be a competitior for Rivals in another year or so.

In basketball I value ESPN's opinion much more but in football they have been way off too many times.
