You have had Jarvis, Odum, McGill. Over the last 4 seasons, they have had at least 2 guys 6'6" or bigger out there shooting 3's. IMO, they need to be under the basket posting up instead of outside the arc, but that's Saylor's gameplan, and it's easy for other teams to gameplan for it.
Those 6'6" guys were scrubs except for Worrell who has always been a jump shooter. South has not had any good big guys since Saylors been there. He adjusted his system to what he has. I dont like how they pass up layups for 3's but I understand shooting them as much as possible if open. Their 4 best players Odums senior year were McGill, Jarvis, Mcyntire, and Odum. So 4/5 of your starters were perimeter players. (The other was a 6 foot dwfwnsive guy) They made it to the Regional Championship game and lost to the eventual state champion.
Easy to prepare for? Love him or hate him, he's like 90 some and 50 some as a head coach in the toughest conference in the Midwest.
If my son was like a Jarvis, I would love the offense. I would have a problem if he was Greg Oden though and we played like that.
