Sorry guys, was pretty busy last week and didn't get the opportunity to talk about the SDSU game.
Offense- it starts up front, we have to get a good push like we have the past two weeks. Our pulls from our guards have to be as good as they have been the past three weeks because if they are, we can run the ball on anyone.
Ronnie has to be able to stretch the field and keep those safeties back to keep Shakir Bell clean. It is a cycle on the offensive side of the ball, to be able to run the ball you have to be able to pass the ball but to be able to pass the ball effectively, a running game sure helps. We have to keep a good 50/50 balance but I will get into that under coaching.
Defense- I think the important players in this game comes down to the combo of Aaron Archie and Ryan Roberts. They have to be able to shut down Tirrell Rennie's option game. Our pass rush is much better than Missouri State's so I really think that he won't be able to sit back there and throw darts like he did against them.
In the secondary the players to watch are Sewall and Burnett, they along with Larry Carter have to come up with some tackles to shut down that effective running QB Rennie.
Coaching/Special teams- in the special teams aspect of this game keep an eye on the punting position as Hileman played pretty well last week. Does Santino Davis return to the punting position?
Coaching side of it we need to keep a good balance on the offensive side of the ball to keep UNI's defense on it's heels. I expect that all so effective HB pass to come out in this game.
