Solid point!I doubt too many people have a sense of humor at a university that's so woke that they decided that they needed to change their name from Dixie State to Utah Tech.

This is my thought as well. I just don't see how there would be any ill intent with something like this. Immature joke, sure, but still funny and light-hearted.I just have to say, it's a pretty funny joke. I'm sure he signed the other people's names because they were the last people who would ever do something like that. I award him 10 points for creativity and 10 more points for the humor.
But, yeah, I like Godard. I'm glad he's here.
I guess i just don't take it that serious. I can see the issue with putting others' names on there but I sure as hell wouldn't take it to a federal lawsuit. I just don't see how someone would respond like that unless the joke wasn't taken well, which goes back to my original post on the subject. Laugh it off, speak your peace if you had any problem with it and move on. But i guess that doesn't get you a large stack of cash.

IIRC, there was concern that enrollment would, could drop... and they did want to distance themselves from the name dixie...The college was named in honor of Dixie Roosevelt, a lady who fought for the abolishment of slavery. Just kidding.
