Nobody currently at ISU was worthy? Seems disappointing. At least Phillips has local ties. Some want her because of that while some seem to want to rule her out because of that. I'd say it's at least a plus but there needs to be other pluses, too.

Lincari was the best President bet and he left for Austin Peay and is killing it there.
 
As a football guy, I'm actually kind of excited about this hire. He was at SEMO when they went through the entire process of renovating their stadium, so he's seen how it's done. Hopefully he brings that knowledge here and gets Memorial Stadium renovated. If he can find a way to get that done he'll be a hero in my book.

the only renovation to memorial stadium that should be done is a wrecking ball and then adding a few fountains for a splash pad.
