I kinda thought that the Jayz would stick with someone that had CURRENT area recruiting roots, possibly even extending to a UNI/Jacobsen buyout (which THEY could afford).

McDermott hasn't agreed to the job yet but appears to be leaning towards taking it. It apparently would be a 10 year deal worth $9 million.

Wasn't this K-Mac's DREAM JOB?!

So, now Mrs. Mac has to make that U-turn west of Council Bluffs, IA
and DRIVE BACK to The Haute, right Morgan? :D

Not sure why you're calling Morgan out? Bottom line is it looks like McDermott was offered the job first. If he doesn't accept, I think you could see McKenna in the next round of candidates.

Just trying to have some fun w/ Morgan --- yesterday, he had K-Mac's bags packed and the McKenna's were pulling onto campus...

I said it yesterday; and I'll say it again. I realize that K-Mac is/will be on the top of their list; However -- Until CU gets permission to talk to him from State AND K-Mac SAYS he's interested; I'm just going to sit back and wait to see how it plays out.

The flip side is we've had more users sign on and post then we've had in a long time. Funny how it takes something like this for that to happen.

Absolutely I did - I thought it was pretty much a no brainer. I mean he was always considered the next man up for the head coaching job while Altman was their - he left and became a winning head coach. If you ask me that makes he more attractive than before... I figured when I woke up today (took a day off) that I was going to get on and hear it from some of you. lol

Not sure why CU went with McDermott but if it allows us to keep K-Mac; I'm all for IT!

Kinda like all the 'rubber-neckers' on an interstate -- hoping to get a good lock at the smokin' wreckage
 
Interesting to say the least.

Nearly a million dollars a year...I had no idea. That's not mid major money.

Still waiting to see how it plays out, the article mentioned that Oregon has not officially announced Altman as the head coach.
 
remember everybody...altman had initially accepted the arkansas job.....

and then decided not to take it a day after he was announced at a "pig-sooooeeeeee" press conference....lol....
