Bearman,
I appreciate you and your thoughts because you came over here with respect and dignity...appreciate it...secondly I think most of us just used that to retort with some of the stupidity that has come out over from that side of things...I think we would both agree things havent gone the way we want them to be...We want respect, which is clearly obviously in my opinion earned...

Bearman, it was a good Home win against a very good team that is well coached and who had not lost a conference game to that point.

As for ISU we have seen glimpses of having a good team over the last three years and all that seems to becoming together and our future looks very promising. All this is based on our coach and his staff and our current players and the depth we have. Our incoming recruits are also very promising and we have a lot to be proud of and have pride in.

Appreciate the hospitable replies. And, I agree, things are looking up in Sycamoreland. Not only is the team playing well, but you have some excellent underclassmen going forward. I think this Sycamore renaissance may be built to last longer than the Green-Menser-Renn led teams of a decade ago. Best of luck - maybe another first place battle in Springfield in a couple weeks.

One parting comment - I do agree with the premise which prompted me to post - that oft-times in our zeal as fans, we forget the other team is trying to win too. If we lost, or didn't win by enough, it had to be because our team didn't play well, or it was the refs. In hindsight, I think we usually find both teams made plays and missed making some plays last night - the refs did their job with no nefarious plot - and in the end, last night, Indiana State made the winning play.

Great observations, Bearman. ISU was lucky to be ahead when time ran out. Those last few minutes of the game were intense and some excellent basketball was on display. Do you realize, until Weems missed that last lay-up, you guys had scored on 12 possessions in a row? You guys certainly didn't play poorly. You played an excellent game. You are tough. We are tough. I can see how many of your fans are upset that the game ended as it did - but a ref has a job and has to call such a blatant foul. The refs didn't decide that game - they made the correct call. Refs have to make those calls in end of game situations (blatant ones, not ticky-tack) and coaches know that, that's why they always scream "don't foul!" from the bench at the end of games - they KNOW a ref can and will call a foul. It's the rules. It's their job.

Thanks for giving ISU the credit we deserve. The fact is, we've won our home games, something that preseason favorite Wichita State has failed to do the last two times out, so the cries of "lucky scheduling" don't carry water.

Best of luck with the rest of the season, except when you play us!

Bearman, way to come over and treat everyone with respect Bearman...that's class, and all I ever got onto Beatingrillz for was his lack of that...I think what upsets sycamore fans was all of the conspiracy theories that the refs decided the game...you guys make a jumper instead of missing a jumper, the game isnt even in that situation...
