Does anyone know if Myles is gonna finish next season under Coach Miles? Word is he's "hang'n in the 'Haute...what a PLUS for the Sycamores if he stays. Gee, brings to mind a song from yesteryear:

Just say SSOM's blurb in another thread. If he hasn't left Terre Haute yet, that bodes well for the Sycamores possibly getting him considering most programs are already starting summer conditioning I believe.

Would MUCH rather see Myles as TE, DE or LB for the Trees rather than return to tejas!

I once fell for a story on here about someone coming to play basketball for us from Iowa. Oh, wait, that one turned out to be true...:imslow:

Besides, you said you weren't sure how good your info was. Usually, if you think you're 100%, you aren't afraid to say it!!! :worship2:

I simply said, "take it for what its worth". But your right, I wasn't 100% - but on a rare occasion is anything 100%.

Walker was at one time a FBS D1 DE prospect. Will be interesting to see where he projects for Coach Miles and the staff. From back in 2007:

Myles Walker, a 6-foot-7, 245-pound defensive end from Antonian College Prep in San Antonio, Texas was one of the most physically imposing players at the combine. When he rolled through the conference center doors it was easy to see that he was a legitimate propsect, so it was no surprise when he reported some early offers.

"I have offers from Rice, Texas A&M, Texas State, and UNT," Walker said. "Texas, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are also showing a lot of interest."

As a junior, Walker reportedly racked up 61 tackles, one sack, three tackles for a loss, and recovered two fumbles while on the way to earn All-State honors.

There are some positives for Myles playing here. Not the least of which is the attention of the media already keeping track of Shakir, close to Indy & the Colts, the program's familiarity to Marvin Lewis and the Bengals and all of the other recent assistant coaches stationed around the country. If he can play he won't go unnoticed for sure. Oh yeah and Coach Miles is a good man to play for and have in your corner.

Very cool news. I've always liked Myles and I'm excited to see him on the football field. How many seasons are we looking at? Just one?

He could be a great addition for sure. I just hope he can transition to college football quickly. His background, size, and college level competition certainly gives him a great shot at it. It's just always an adjustment but if anyone can do it he can.
