Just in time for conference season. Sucks for the kids but if he did whatever he was accused of, good on Evansville for not Pitinoing it. I would assume Title IX involvement would mean with a female student or a subordinate?

The Courier Press article does not make this sound good at all. The university is saying they did not make their decision in haste, which leads me to believe there's plenty of smoke here. I find it hard to believe he retains his job if there's actual harassment, sexual or otherwise, that is founded.
wonder if Todd Lickliter and Matthew Graves both leaving for "personal reasons" was because of McCarty's alleged behavior.
Yeah... I think that is a pretty clear indicator that they didn't like the way things were heading. They were not about to sink with that ship - those guys aren't stupid.
The resident asshole on Evansville Fans forum (Lerch) has somehow managed to bring Lansing into the discussion. His "writing" style is full of ....ellipsis... and looks vaguely familiar....

Twitch was just responding to my speculative post. No evidence, it was just strange that two highly regarded coaches left after one season and cited "personal reasons" for their departure. Could just be a coincidence.

If an Evansville fan comes across this and wants a site, I could potentially be interested in helping them out. I'd hate for a fellow Valley school to be without a board. It would be roughly $200 for them to get one started. PM me.
One of their fans has a new one up already called Purple Ace Place. It is a ProBoard site. Looks like you have to go through MVCfans to get to it and the guy that started it wants it to be a temporary board.
On a side note I honestly feel bad for their fans in general. They honestly should be one of the better programs in this conference and then as soon as they were on the rise, they had this happen to them.

Jason, thanks so much for your offer of help. We may very well take you up on it. This board is laid out well, and is enjoyable to read. I like the Sycamore Pub concept, and we will certainly swipe it..lol As others have mentioned, we did put together a board rather hastily to not lose the community we had going into the conference season. I did have a computer science major at UE message me, offering to help. If acceptable, I will include a link at the bottom. All Sycamore fans are welcome. I enjoy conversing with most Valley posters, but the MVC one can become unbearable. I am not going to question why our board was suddenly canned, but the timing couldn't have been worse. As you can imagine, emotions are pretty raw around here.
You guys are one of our longest rivals, and little trash talking is all in fun. I won't get too mean as I did spend a considerable amount of money and time with ISU putting one of my kids through there. She grew up while up there, and came out a totally different person...and for that, I will always be grateful.
