A girl accusing a popular athlete (in this case former) of sexual assault and lawyering up. Yeah okay, I have seen this movie before...

If this is inappropriate please feel free to delete, but my point stands. Starting to get a feeling he actually might be innocent now. If anything happened at all I am sure it was consensual. I'm not saying she's a golddigger, but....... This kind of crap gets old.

If he actually is guilty of sexual assault then shame on him, but I have my serious doubts.

Yeah... I don’t think this is a good stance to be taking these days but do you. Some things are better left unsaid.

Walter had a reputation in Eville of young ladies and booze. Consensual or not he was playing with fire! You can’t be the head basketball coach of any program in America doing the things that he was doing.

To get shit canned after just two years on the job tells me all I need to know. I have little doubt he sexually assaulted one or more women while the head coach of Evansville University and he’s going to pay a big price...
 
I am just glad it is not our problem. UE is probably going to face a lawsuit regardless. If he is found innocent then he will probably sue the university for a breach of contract. This mess is more than likely going to drag on for a while.

Crap getting old...

McCarty obviously placed himself in a position to be accused if not indicted or charged.

On the face it seems more serious than Larry Eustachy, circa 2003 or Mike Price, circa 2002 but McCarty certainly played a role.


Agree, glad it's NOT us - let another school deal with the fallout

It seems like it will just be a civil case doesnt it? no report filed with EPD yet. I suppose they could do that later.

This is why I am getting skeptical. She didn't and hasn't filed charges but then hires some big time lawyer. You would think that she would report something like this to the police asap. It sounds like she has told everyone but the police.

And I am not going to say if I think he is innocent or guilty. Up to this point it has been a lot of "he said, they said, she said". Not a lot of facts at this point, but the facts that have been put out there are making me skeptical.

I wouldnt be surprised if she didnt go to the police if the allegations were true.

Marcus Wilson is definitely my favorite MVC TV announcer right know. Not sure how long he has been doing MVC games but hopefully he does them for a long time. For a while I thought he just did Evansville games, until I heard him doing a game (might have been ours) at Valpo. The guy is actually good at his job and actually knows about the MVC which I really appreciate as a fan. I hate when I watch a game and you have guys that know nothing but what they are reading off their notes.

McCarty rode back into his hometown on the back of Pegasus and the media almost choked while drooling! Here's an example of their "accuracy" last Jan. '19 re: the 6'9'' Pitt transfer, who rarely sees an action on a squad that currently lacks a big man inside.

Wilson was obviously venting his frustration at being ignored in the rebuild of UE hoop after the McCarty hire. But bringing Lick & Graves as assistants was a clear indication of McCarty's need for collegiate "grooming," something that Wilson couldn't offer.

Remember when you didn't think those two top assistants leaving had nothing to do with anything... They just happened to leave for "health" reasons and other circumstances... Turns out it's not healthy to be an assistant coach on a staff where the head guy is doing what Walter was doing. Sooo you were kinda right in a round about way but it had everything to do with Walter.

Lickliter stated to various sources that he seriously injured his lower back in a ladder accident @ home. Graves' move to Xavier was a career UPWARD MOBILITY move from UE. HC Travis Steele & Graves are BOTH Butler alums. Neither of us have any reason to doubt Lickliter's statements re: his personal health.

For sure. You could definitely tell his feelings were hurt from the video.

NBA lifers tend to believe they are way more important than they are. It was only a matter of time before the wheels fell off within the program even if he wasn't out preying on co-eds. College coaches are often made or broken by their assistants.
