This is the tallest task of the season (excluding the Penn St game). We have had our asses handed to us by them each of the last 3 seasons (and I'm sure many seasons before that). Their lines on both sides have just manhandled our lines and their skill positions have been far better. Going into the UNI Dome, our players will hopefully remember the embarassment the last time they were there and try a little harder to do something about it.

Yep, tall order. UNI has 18 of 22 starters back. Still, UNI seems to find a way to lose a couple of games they should not. Except for rare instances, they are never a completely "tight" team that can barnstorm through a season like many other champs have. If they could not win it in 2007, I don't know if they ever will.

The Valley is brutal.

We are pretty tall order ourselves ;) but no this is a tough test. I think both teams are top 3 teams...

I see the Punthers have started a game day thread, as usual they have fans who will probably never give ISU a chance in h e l l of winning this weekend.

It certainly won't be easy by any means, but I truly think ISU can win this game. It would be a signature win for the program should they go up there and win on UNI's homecoming.

It will take the best game this team has played in the last several years. Offense, defense, and particulary special teams need to be at the very top of their game. We cannot let their trackmen loose for big plays, and we need to contain Rennie (is that an obvious enough need?). We need to compete and not get bullied on the lines. And they need to remember that gawdawful roaring scoreboard from a couple of years ago!

That Panther-State guy is seriously annoying. I talked to him on MVCfans before and if you don't agree with him 100 percent you automatically become his enemy. He is pretty ridiculous but granted it's an internet forum with no context but still come on people, be cordial.

Not to put TOO much pressure on our team, the ISU-UNI game might be the most important ball game we have played in decades. We all know that this will be a VERY difficult game to win, but frankly, it could happen. We are not a fluke and we are skilled at most positions with a few weaknesses. Last I looked UNI has a few too. We win and we move well up in the polls and are first in the conference with the toughest competition in the MCFC left coming to OUR PLACE and a lot of good things can happen. We lose and we might still stay in the top 25 but it will be close (and we are still a VERY good team).

These guys want to win and now know HOW to win. If they play at or above their ability, we should be very competitive. Personally, I give us a shot but the Panthers are wicked at home. Saturday will be a fun day to watch FCS football, that's for sure.

Yea Bally....I agree, this guy is fired up for this game. Nervous...oh yea...but hey what am I nervous about...going 5-1? Who woulda thought that two seasons ago?

No sh*t! This has a chance to be something REALLY special. Win or lose, I am so proud of this team. Never an insult to lose on the road to the best in the conference but the upside looks so sweet. No way you can't think about it. Nervous, absolutely.

Must stink then when they lose to a low-level FBS team like Iowa State. Everyone is beatable.
