Somebody is playing games for it was mentioned back in November that the bone structure had healed and that it was just the nerve regeneration that needed to be rehabilitated. There is nothing new in tonight's "breaking news" it is the same ole song and dance. The timing of this "announcement" is suspect as well when all the Indy TV stations are having interviews with Luck on today's news segments. This whole situation is really starting to stink.
I know the odds are not favoring Peyton's return but I also know that there is wiggle room on that date of the bonus. I also know that the national media thinks everything is all sealed and he is history. I will come back and admit I am wrong and if I am way off base here -- But there are ways he can return. Peyton certainly wants to return as a Colt, he has made no bones about that. Jim has said as much as well in the last few days. I just think this is not over with. Only time will tell.
How about peterson and a 1st for manning from the cardinals? I would do that if I was the colts...
I'd be happy if all those so-called sports media-types that are all-knowing were just WRONG. They act like this whole story is signed and delivered and I don't really think it is. Like I say, I am likely wrong, but Jim Irsay says he wants Peyton if he can play, and Peyton says "I want to always be a Colt." No one is running him out of town here, he loves Indy and God knows Indy loves him and he has said all along that he would love to end his career here. Somehow I feel that Jim and Peyton aren't blowing smoke here. And fricking Luck said he would love to learn the game from Peyton. Come on here...this isn't a dream here, they have ALL said it in recent interviews.
