I agree, we've got IU tomorrow and Purdue next week, not to mention a team coming off of a 7-4 season, Shakir's last season, a new coach....

This site should be ALL THE BUZZ. Don't make me write another haiku!
 
We've had our lowest monthly post totals over the last 3 months since 2009 despite our daily user activity staying the same or being higher. Put quite simply: people are reading but not posting.

I hope those same people realize that eventually there will be nothing for them to read.
 
It's SSOM's fault...spending too much time fishing for exotic game fish on the Wabash, when he should be here on the Forum pissing everyone off.:ohno:

Has this season snuck up on anyone else. I feel like it has and that mixed with the fact that I have no idea what to expect has kept me quiet.

Don't feel like it has snuck up on me, but strongly agree that I have no idea what to expect from this season.

There are so many reasons to think positively about this season, but yet so many reasons to be concerned too. Not going to over think it, will just sit back and enjoy the season.

There are too many unanswered questions at this time. When given another 24 hours or so this place will pickup. The only feeling I have right now about this game is that if we win, we may not be as good as some will think we are. Likewise if we lose, we will not be as bad as some will think we are.

Does the word SNIPER, come in to mind? Or in other words.....I could count a hundreds times on here when weighty SP bloggers shot down, in pretty brutal fashion, newbie posters. Heck, there are even weighty SP posters that shoot down regular bloggers...yes...we need a balance of testiness. It makes for a healthy exchange of posting.....but to quickly blast and put down newbies....that kind of antagonism needs to stop.
 
Anybody have an idea of how many student-fans visit and post here? Or is it a bunch of us old farts? Any way to find a way to advertise the site in game programs or some other place?

Good point...maybe 'Boda needs to add a "special section" to encourage the 500 sapplings of "the Forest?" I can't think of a better fertilizer for the growth platform of their Sycamore emotions. Unfortunately, I think it actually should be a "protective zone" from the OFC boyz, thus removing any age-related intimidation factors which are seemingly inherent in the written exposition of ideas. The "Sapplings" shouldn't be excluded from posting on the "normal" (:blackeye:) protocol if they desire, but have THEIR OWN preserve. Besides, college kids have ALWAYS desired to carve a new niche v. following in grandpas shadows!:gramps:
