I do not convey sources, but he's not in any ISU's recruiting profile section, nor have I seen any carrot being dangled in front of the kid. He may have bigger fish tailing him (Eastern Illinois, Ball State, Northern Illinois, Indiana University), but I was only wondering why Indiana State recruits the Terre Haute schools, who haven't necessarily been successful in the MIC, but not the small schools in their back yard who have some diamonds in the rough. If the kid is a player, he's a player - doesn't matter where he goes to school. Take Mitch Snyder from Casey-Westfield. He led his team to the state final in Illinois last year and didn't get a sniff. Granted, he is an outstanding student and enrolled at Rose-Hulman, but there seems to be a bias against small school kids. Just because someone went to Ben Davis or Warren Central doesn't mean they're going to tear up the MoVal. We've seen what Lou West did with big school kids - I just hope this coaching staff recruits kids who are not only good students, they're fundamentally sound football players. A kid like Duncan may even put some more butts in Memorial Stadium...
