again, welcome Chris! Looking forward to seeing you close out your collegiate football career in style! And it's great he's coming here knowing people already!

Wow, surprised he left so quickly. Maybe he figured he would be able to unseat Alex Jones being he came in from Washington. This kinda sucks because we used the hell out of Jones and Mardis last year and he would have gotten plenty of PT.

Another "big time" recruit that just wasn't a very good player. Like I've said many times here, there is usually a reason players transfer from FBS schools to FCS, and generally speaking they just weren't good enough (although many carry the attitude that they are stooping down to come down a level and expect to be the star). It's too bad they can't just fit in and enjoy the new opportunity they've been given.

so are you saying that the 4 transfer players Indiana/Wash/Mich state/ Bowling green we aquired are not going to make any type of positive contribution? wow. 1 game and everyone is an expert. so would you rather trade the 4 transfers with 4 high school 1st year players? I think that anytime you can aquire experienced players vs high school seniors, it should be a positive.

Wow. Didn't take long for ISU fans to come out against each other. You totally overreacted to what nsf said. He was only commenting on one player, and was making a logical assumption at that. He didn't pan all transfers - if you'd been here long enough, you'd know that this team and all its players have no greater ally than nsf. Calm down.

And no, it isn't ALWAYS better to take a transfer over a high school kid. Can be, but it's not a given.

It is all a situational thing...like comparing Ronnie to stutzriem...different guys who took to the situation differently...wasn't a fit for izbicki and I hope him the best in the future..

couldn't speak truer words ITF...NSF does have a point sometimes transfers come in thinking they are going to be playing against the little sisters of the poor and then realize that this level is still pretty darn tough...

In the 4 years as a "new" Sycamore fan, and watching all of the MVFC teams very closely, there are far more FBS transfers that do not contribute significantly than those, like Ronnie Fouch, Jewel Hampton at SIU this year, Evan Frierson at ILS this year...that do. My comment was made before yesterday's game, and did not "target" all of this years' transfers to the Sycamores. I hope all of the ones that are staying do contribute significantly--we are just not off to a rousing start with one having left and one suspended. If you noticed in a previous thread, I was very happy that we added an experienced long snapper, which was a need for us. I still feel that way, so please read things in context.
