What is amazing is the lack of coverage by evansville media...not a word has been mentioned and honestly I
Think this is a huge addition for that team.

Well, E'ville is certainly closer to Kokomo than Springfield (though I believe JO's career was a 'roadblock'...)

Hs parents may choose a more scenic route (non-70, 41) to E'ville but WOW will that take some time!

Had I-69 been built 40 years ago (when it should have been); his parents wouldn't have to 'worry' about it today!

We couldn't compete with this for a 2012 signee.......now 2013 or 2014 is a different story. We already have someone to revolve around for the next 3 yrs.

“Coach Simmons said he hoped they can revolve the team around me,” Balentine said. “He said he can see me bringing up the ball or coming off screens. I’m excited. It’s one of the best conferences in the nation, too.”

Simmons uses that on everyone he recruits. I've seen it in several Rivals articles.
 
Unfollowed him on Twitter already. Sounds to me like we were never really in the hunt... I mean, he decided and announced before he ever gave us an official visit...

He probably wants to play pg and he would have been behind Odum and McWhorter for 2 yrs.
 
As was said, win some-lose some, but it's always funny how everyone knocks a player or team when they go elsewhere. Aces attendance is down in the last few years, no doubt, but Sycamore fans bashing Evansville's attendance? Really?

Dude nice recruit, we all would have liked to see him in Sycamore blue, no doubt. I'm sure he will enjoy wearing the color purple better... I mean at least for you guys he get's the opportunity to play immediately, for us - well he'd have to wait a few years... It's not as much of a bash as you'd think, you see when #13 (you'd have to be from around here to understand) was a SR. in HS he was good enough to play the PG for us also. So maybe it's just that your success is a few years behind us, soon we will both be atop the Valley - doubtful though. Your fan base and local media proved it's lack of education by acknowledging a recruit 3 days after he made his announcement. Congrats - you are the most dedicated of a less than dedicated bunch of purple people eaters. Now who told you to come out and play???

By the way - I speak for myself, not my entire fan base. This response will be accepted by few and looked down on by most. Really you've stumbled upon a great fan base, full of people who are very classy. On this night, I've decided not to be one of those - I have no tolerance for people who post on apposing teams forums...

Speak for yourself I thought he would have looked best in maroon and white. I know our coaches really like DJ and were really hoping he would be a Bear. He picked the Aces and that's fine wish him the best of luck there. I was just glad he didn't end up playing for the creany loisers.

Amen! It never ceases to amaze me how that man can recruit great players and turn them into an above average team and the fans love him.:krazy: But that's OK. Somehow I think it may help the rest of us.
