I really believe he's going to be a good player for us but I want him to be healthy. Don't know what options he has if any about redshirting though. Heck I think right now he's our best "big" finisher at the rim and not a bad rebounder. He seems to always contribute positively when he comes in IMO.

I think Kessinger has been pretty solid this year in finishing around the rim. I'd probably give him the nod - long term I think Brink will be okay but he's still quite a ways away from being able to play bulk mins.

Yes, Kessinger seems to be doing better. Still a bit inconsistent. Rickman simply can't hold on to the ball or bricks it up there sometimes. He is just not a very polished offensive player. You would think with his size he would get more blocks and rebounds too.

It would appear that Kissinger has had some good fundamental coaching when was younger.

He has really good footwork and decent hands. He’s just struggled to finish. It appears he’s finally getting his confidence back. If he could play like he did Sunday for the next year and a half, he’ll make us a much better team.

Does anyone know what's going on with Blake? I really feel like he could help with interior defense and rebounding. He has a promising future... if he can ever get on the floor.

The last mention was back right before the first TCU matchup and he was questionable with a knee injury. Someone probably should ask Golden to get an update on that. My guess is if it is the same knee, they may shut him down and try to apply for a medical redshirt since he didn't hit the 30% competition mark.

They're gonna try to get him a medical redshirt and if he doesn't get it, it'll be a damn shame.

Ok. Thanks for the info. Hopefully he gets it. He didn't play much. I think he "can" be a nice player for us if he can get healthy.

So....seeing that Blake is listed as a freshman on GoSycamores roster I'm assuming he got a medical redshirt? Hopefully he's healthy this year. I think he could really help our inside game IMO.

I went to the summer work out yesterday. He looked great. Much more aggressive than last year. One of the best at dunking on the team. He is also developing some touch around the rim. He will be a asset to us this year.

And, can you tell if we are practicing with the new 3-point line, and is anyone hitting from that far out?

It goes from 20 feet, 9 inches to 22 feet, 1¾ inches this year.

What does this have to do with BB? You are on the wrong thread.

Exactly, especially in a game that is predicated on a 3 pt shooting-designed game philosophy!

Does Brinkmeyer ever take a 3? What I like most about the kid is his natural "sense" for the ball inside and his quick ascent on the boards. It's not how high you jump but who reaches the ball 1st. He doesn't give the defender an opportunity to gauge the situation!
