Trace is looking good per video of his last game. 6'9" now. Fast, athletic, with pretty deep range. We should stay in touch... just my opinion...

I just think we might have to clear out a dead-weight player to make room for him. We need a true big who is more skilled offensively than our current bigs IMO.

Not seeing that.

I did see we offered him today again.

Yeah, saw a tweet where he had committed and then two days later saw a whole string of tweets where he commented on additional offers. I give up trying to follow this young man. My mistake.

At this point you gotta wonder if the juice is worth the squeeze with this young man.

The juice is ALWAYS worth the squeeze when it comes to this program.

A. What do you have to lose?

B. Lansing has a pretty good track record of keeping kids eligible and focused. It’s actually been one of his stronger attributes imo.

Why wouldn’t it be worth it? We’ve had players with academic issues come into our program, thrive, and grow up to be outstanding men. One that’s in graduate school and currently working with the team comes to mind.

There is 1 year and 7 pages that tell a story of a kid that isn’t committed (and I don’t mean literally). Bounced around high schools for the “right” offer, had eligibility issues because of it, had a circumstance where he wasn’t showing up to AAU games and lost schollies, went the prep route where it seems some of his better offers are off the table.

The kid might be a ++ athlete and would help our on the court situation. But if you guys can’t see that he doesn’t want to be a Sycamore, I can’t help you.

What???

I guess that Lansing Laser like FOCUS is why he can get those kids to HUMILIATE Eye Ewe on their home court, then lose to some awful team like Valpo.

Or defeat FINAL FOUR TEAM LOYOLA in Chicago on Loyola's home court, then forget all the CONCENTRATION it took to pull that off, and lose the next game to DRAKE!

Or blow out ILLINOIS STATE by 30, which should have been 40 points at the HC, and then flush all ATTENTION to detail from that game and then get killed by them on a neutral court in Arch Madness.

And IMO there's nothing worse to automatically pencil in L's for home and away Southern Illinois games... You can count on those two games as losses, no matter how Lansing has our teams HONED in.

Take your pick through Lansing's years where we beat MIAMI, BUTLER, etc. and then the next game we lose any and all AWARENESS only to return to collapse mode.

Say some other positive things if ya want about Lansing, but keeping everyone FOCUSED isn't one of them.

I guess you can’t help me because I just went back and reread all seven pages and see nothing about how he doesn’t want to be a Sycamore. He appears to be a kid that was holding out for bigger offers and they never came. He also had grades issues, which I assume his year at prep school helped him remedy.

I see another negative comment from you from earlier in the year that seemed to disparage the kid’s character even though there’s been nothing public that I’ve seen to indicate there are any issues. You must know him better than I because I see a freak athlete at a position of need that could benefit from being at Indiana State. Nothing else.

Looks like Clayton is all for him joining the Sycamores.

We've been on him for a long time..We have a former teammate of his on the roster. Can play in a conference that will be top 7-8 next year and just had a F4 team
..And we can provide immediate playing time surrounded by talented players...Ball is in his court.
