Hearing that maybe Texas Tech is kicking his tires. I mean, we're already doing a reset, I'm not mad at him of all people getting paid.

Anywhere but SLU is my motto.
I've heard Texas Tech rumors as well. I will miss that smile and infections joy on the court!

Of all the players in the last 20 years, he's my favorite. Always smiling, always getting better. He's been loyal to the program, not just to a person. He's earned the right, in my eyes, to look around. I hope he comes back. I would HATE to see him leave, but if he does, I'll be rooting for him.

Unless he goes to SLU. Then, I'll have a problem...

Larry deserves everything that is presented to him. Really one of my favorite sycamores the last decade or so.

This current climate just sucks though. It's unfortunate that you can have players that spend 4 years with your program and when they do leave there is a gray cloud over their legacy; even if it is a small one. Look at Tyreke Key; the guy was in the program for 5 years; hell, he even came back for Schertz first year. Scored 1600 points and is top 10 in about every major category you can think of. Went back to his home State, made some money, contributed to a NCAA team. That is about as understandable transfer as you can possibly have; and yet we hardly talk about him anymore. Same will be for Lance Jones, Reink Mast, Marcus Domask, etc. I don't think anyone blames them for their transfers and they all ended up working nicely for them but there is just something about transferring that taints a legacy.

Again, I love Larry. Wish nothing but the best for him no matter his decision. The kid deserves everything he gets in life. Thank you Julian!

I have been messaging Ju's mother for the last two years. About a month ago I said "Please tell me Ju is coming back". I got no response so I thought that said it all. I didn't post anything because that would have just started another round of rumors. He has been one of my favorite player and I hate to see him leave.

Looks like Tyreke is playing in the Netherlands.

If he's not considering a season in Terre Haute with the Trees, why is this being posted?

Because he’s still considering Terre Haute. I’m sure he will get close to a 6 figure offer from our collective to stay. I’m sure he will be walking away from money on the table if he takes our offer.

Still considering staying... was that in his GoodBye note? I didn't read that note

Kudos to him if he chooses to stay

Is he the only possibility, or do you think others may still be in play too, even if the chances are remote?
I would imagine the other 4 starters are out of our NIL league with what I've heard offered. I would imagine bigger programs would offer Ju more than us, but boy 100 k-ish offer from us is HUGE! Hope he comes back, but also understand if he doesn't.

Maybe Kent and Swope will get bigger offers than Larry, but to me those three feel like they are in the same tier, with Avila and Conwell tier higher than them.

It might be interesting to learn how effective Swope, Kent and Avila are w/o Julian.

I hope he stays here, but if he leaves I do hope the school has a masters program that best serves his long term career goals.
