Maybe Purdue around 06? There was a Colorado game in there but can't remember if they were in the PAC yet.
Meanwhile I think we've gone to Purdue like 4 times since.

the Colorado game was part of that Hawai'i MTE (Diamond Head Classic)...

and the Buffs were a Pac-12 team... the fled the Big 12 after the 2010-11 season

So we're approaching 20 years since a Power conference has been in Hulman Center. Insane. That's a lot of duckin. Especially considering ISU is half the reason March is mad.

Yup New Mexico while a real solid program is not a P5 team.

The answer has to be IU when Menser went off?

Sounds right -- thinking the last gm vs. purdue was in indianapolis? pacers arena?

I know IU came to Hulman Center around 05 or 06 and Purdue came around the same time.....and both went home with Losses! We are beat the hell out of Purdue by nearly 20 IIRC. That Boilermaker team had Landry also.

Here's that box score... Landry was foul-laden... but Mario Stinson was unconscious (10-14 from the field)

The Loosiers came to Terredise the season prior (Moss' SR season)

Watching Furman vs Virginia in a close game. They are talking about how Furman started 3-6 but then ended the year 14-1. Color commentator: "Well they had some tough games early, but when you are in a 1 bid league you have the opportunity to build your team. You don't have that opportunity in the big conferences because you have to win every game."

I've never heard a statement farther from the truth. Sorry but P5 bias just pisses me off.

First of all... Simply based on the style of basketball that Virginia plays Furman and about anyone else in the tournament is going to be in the game vs. them... It has nothing to do with who they played early on and ability to develop a roster yadda yadda. Virginia wants to play possession basketball games. They played 9 games in the month of February and never scored more than 69 points (once) and 68 points (once). That's just a dumb comment in general - I am less annoyed with any P5 bias and more annoyed with the fact that he didn't realize that literally anyone playing against Virginia was likely going to be in the game especially at half time.

If Jesus endorsed ISU as the best education in the history of the world, most of Indiana would still prefer a diploma with a picture of Bob Knights $#!t stained @$$ on it.

100% -- Virginia is where athletes go to die.

Wow what a horrible play there by Virginia and an outstanding play for Furman. if this sticks it will probably be a new highlight for the March Madness compilation.

How can the committee not see this tis what makes the sport so great
