I know the conference has some collective work to do before it becomes a perennial multi-bid league. If we (ISU) continue on the same path we have been on in the Schertz era, I'd rather play a competitive conference schedule which elevates every team's strength of schedule and other metrics i.e. RPI; than running the gauntlet and end the season with 1-2 conference losses and be crowned king turd on top of shit mountain.

Big day for the early standings in conference as the top for favorites all go against one another ( Bradley, Indiana State, drake, Missouri State)

Indiana State at Bradley: 2 pm: let's win this damn thing

Northern Iowa at Evansville: 2 pm: interesting match-up. Would be a big win for the aces but if they lose they are looking to be near the bottom again in the Valley. Big swing game for them.

Valpo @ Belmont: 2pm: don't really know what to think of Belmont thus far. Dont think the beacons have what it takes to win this one though

Saint Louis @ Southern Illinois: 3:30pm: STL is not nearly as good as they have been in recently, but still would be a solid MVC win. After what we did to the salukis; it would be a good look if they can regroup and pull this one out.

Missouri State at Drake: 4pm: Missouri State is still shorthanded but they have looked pretty good this early season. Drake has been pretty inconsistent and pedestrian looking at times but are still 6-1. Personally I would like to see drake protect home court.

I watched Belmont last game. They are a sleeper! Don’t be shocked when it comes to late MVC season they are right there/ this kid Dia that transferred from Vanderbilt to Belmont is solid.

Yepp…Dia, the two quick guards and Tyson is a really good core…they will be top 6 at the end of the season.

Evansville is going to knock off UNI in OT.

SIU is absolutely boatracing Saint Louis at the break.

Drake up 10 early on the Bears.

The southern score is crazy, can't believe they scored 101. Billikens have to be freaking out.

Evansville pulls one out against UNI. the shine on Jacobson has definitely worn off

Belmont beats Valpo

Drake hands Missouri State a pretty nice beatdown.

Missouri State is shorthanded though. Will be interesting to see how they look at home against Drake at Full strength whenever that game is.
