I was looking for highlights of the UIC Loyola game last night and found this instead. The biggest game between those two schools was in 2002 when they played each other in the Horizon League Championship Game. UIC hit a game winning shot with 4 seconds left in OT to win 76-75.

Pretty good night for the valley going 7-1

UNI, Drake, Belmont all beat lower division teams

Bradley handles Tarleton State 86-63

Valpo beats Green Bay 64-59. Any D1 win by the Beacons this year is a nice surprise and welcomed

UIC with the win of the night over Loyola 72-67. Don't think Loyola is all to impressive this year but it's a really good look for the MVC that UIC wins this game. I also don't think Flames are going to be at the bottom this year, they look like they are going to finish in that 7-8 spot.

Murray State with the lone blemish as they fell to Western Kentucky 81-86 late.

Our NET moved up to 100 as well. Think it was like 110-115.

Drake (59) and Bradley (78) are the only schools above us. Belmont (119) and Southern Illinois (122) are the next two behind.

Evansville knocked off SEMO, 76-57. Rob Martin had 9-4-3 for SEMO.

Illinois State knocked off Eastern Illinois, 69-61.

45-38 Valpo at the break.

Looks like an entirely different team than they did vs IUPUI last week. The Stafford kid can fill it up when he is hot.

lose to one of the worse team in D1 at home last week. Up by 7 at one of the best teams this week. Gotta love college basketball

Interested to see the result of the Ball State v Evansville game today. It’s at Eville and right now it’s a pick ‘em game spread wise

Evansville taking on Ball State right now in Eville. hopefully they both lose. Eville has had a couple nice slips to the basket with nice passes, kind of looked like the sycamores on a few possessions

Aces lead the Cardinals 47-27. Evansville isn't overly athletic but they have a stable of guys in that 6-7 to 6-10 range with some length. There guards are pretty active and creating a ton of ball state turnovers. Looks like Rags been reading some of Schertz philosophies on offense because there have been about 10 assists that have looked very sycamoreish. Evill is much improved and won't be at the bottom of the MVC this year

Evansville wins 74-50. They will definitely be a tougher matchup than last year.

Ball State on the other hand is really down and we should beat them easily in Indy next month.

Valpo will be last this year. I'm not sure who else Evansville can leap frog.
