Perhaps that is because Ohio State's Basketball arena seats nominally 19,000 while Auburn seats only 9,100. OSU probably has a gate around $300,000 higher per game plus parking and concessions. I think it can easily handle $50K extra for an opponent.
No, Auburn is definitely lowballing Richmond. For context Bradley is paying SEMO $85,000 for a buy game. Any AD that takes less than half that from a P4 school should be seeking new employment.

This schedule is about to get really interesting for the Sycamores. While we've taken our lumps - we haven't really beat any good teams and we haven't played a byunch of good teams even when we've gotten beat. Looking ahead, excluding Ohio State... This next stretch of conference games is brutal:

Bradley - At home is an absolute must win. The schedule gets pretty stout pretty quickly.

@ Evansville @ Valpo - Would be nice to get both but I'd be happy with a split here. Can't lose both...

Belmont - At home and again probably a must win type of game given the next 3 on the schedule.

@ Bradley - not winning this one.

Drake - be tough to win this one but if we are playing well could be a heck of an environment in the HC

@ IL State - Tough road matchup vs a team we will likely be close to in the standings

So 4 of the next 7 (5 of the next 8 counting Ohio State) on the road. 3 of the 7 vs Bradley and Drake (again through in Ohio State and 4 of the next 8 games vs. top 50 teams in the nation. We are about to find out by the middle of January where this team is going to likely end up in the standings and what this team is made of.

I noticed this stretch a couple weeks ago when looking at the schedule and tried to act like I didn’t see it. lol.

It is just a brutal stretch…but this team will either get better/tougher together…or you fold/spiral down.

Hoping we can shoot well and at least play a competitive game against OSU.
BU at home…man I have PTSD thinking about Duke Deen torching is in the 2nd half/OT last season at home.

Feel like the sycamores have had a pretty front loaded conference schedule the last couple of years. Not really complaining as we historically seem to do better during lap #1 of the MVC, but it's been a pattern the last 3 years or so of playing the toughest MVC games right out the gate

That game had so many nuggets… How about the fact that JS didn’t play anyone in the second half other than his starters? Not sure I’ve ever seen that. What about the Larry theft of Hickman at half court to win the game in regulation and they call a phantom foul? What about Larry fouling out and Bledson coming in off the bench with a massive clutch of all clutch 3’s to help ice the game. That was honestly an instant classic.

Regardless of Bradley if we can manage to win 2 of the next 3 Valley games and get to 4-1 I will feel really good about where we are at. I think that is doable if these guys keep playing the way they have during this stretch.

Be interesting to see what Graves does with Gray once he gets healthy… I know what I’d do. 😂

And let’s not forget when Swope had 2 Bradley players fall in OT off the hesitation dribble. As opponent the last thing I would want is to touch earth like that lol

A win against Belmont will do wonders but they need to start coming up with promos right now to get that place packed and looking good on t.v.

And if anyone in the department reads this, PLEASE don't bring out those ugly ass black and pink uniforms. Baby blue all the way!
Got that right 👍
