Larranaga can be both an astute observer of the current state of college athletics and a hypocrite....both roles aren't mutually exclusive.

The "horse has left the barn", so to speak, we're not ever going back to the way things were...hopefully some reforms can be implemented to make playing for the name on the FRONT of your jersey a consideration again...playing for the name on the BACK seems to be the ONLY consideration at the moment.

While the horse has left the barn, we are seeing donor fatigue just like we all said would happen. If new donors aren't cultivated, the pools will continue to dry up, especially if donors don't feel like they get any value out of their money. I think we've got a couple more years and we'll see something a little more workable unless some other black swan sort of event happens.

There's always going to be exceptions, like that kid that's getting $2 million from BYU, but he's a potential generational talent the Utah Jazz is considering tanking their season for to move up the draft for him.

But you're right that at a certain point the number of donors that you can ask to pay $600k plus per player just to get knocked out in the first or second round every year is finite.

Cracks me up that the fat cats who cheated paying players under the table for years are suddenly upset that everyone with money can buy all the players they can afford now. Not an exclusive club anymore because lots of schools have money.

4 of the top 10 teams in D1 CBB at effective FG % are in the Valley. Pretty impressive. We are 2nd (4th overall). Bradley is 2nd in the country

I was just now checking scores and see that West Virginia beat Kansas at Allen field house (hard to do). Tucker Devries did not play but Joseph yesufu came off the bench and scored 6 points against his former team. Let that sink in. Man, this sport is wild sometimes.

I did not expect West Virginia to be good right away…but kind of dumb to bet against Darian devries at this point.

Aaah, the sneaky 13th year senior. Classic Yesufu.

Watching North Carolina vs Notre Dame and man Cade Tyson doesn’t even look like the same player.

Only avg 10 min a game. 3 point percentage is down to 30% and his free throw percentage is around 50% after being above 80 his whole career.

Wont be surprised if he’s suiting up for Mr.Alexander again next season.
