Is that on the betting side, or on the reality side? Because as of right now on the betting side, in the first quarter, its INDIANA STATE 36.5 and PURDUE 0. PURDUE has to beat us by 37 points to win the betting side.

Looks like we were 17 point underdogs when we almost beat them back in 2013. 37 seems high to me, but it wouldn't be a total shocker either. I'm hoping we can be pretty competitive against a preseason last place Big 18 team. I have to think that most of our conference would beat these guys.

That spread seems low. Last time we played them, IMO, they ran up the score on us.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I was stating that we were 17 point underdogs back in 2013, not this year.

My goal for this year is for us to keep it close until at least halftime. I suspect that they will eventually pull away from us and beat us by several scores. Our offense looked awful during the Spring Game, but maybe our defense is actually pretty good and will keep us in it for a while until they get tired.

Purdue will be better than people are anticipating, if Hudson Card stays healthy. Purdues #2 WR and #1 CB are out for week 1. Their starting LT is questionable as well. All are transfers in from UGA, UGA, Ball State, respectively.

Their defense is horrible. ISU and IU are the teams they should beat, but that’s about it. I just hope they don’t run up the score on us, not have key injuries, and make it snappy writing that 500k check.

Not sure how anyone would know how good or bad their defense is at this point. They are starting transfer CBs from Colorado and UGA. Safety is preseason all America. Rush ends have big upside while four transfers are also in that mix. DL has good depth at NT and transfers at DE. MLB was a stud pass rusher. A lot of unknown as their defensive coach enters year two.

Considering Purdue is an opponent, it’d make sense some would like to know about the opponent. However, it appears no one cares about the team enough to even care about the opponents to have any discussion.

I think we all know what to expect next Saturday. I appreciate Purdue putting us on their schedule, and giving us a nice payday. Other than that, Purdue looks to be heading into a dismal season. There, I talked about Purdue for you.

Maybe Northwestern too. They're usually about as pathetic.

My guess is that if Purdue was in the MVFC they'd probably be 8th in our conference's preseason poll ahead of only Missouri State, ISU, and Murray State.

That's mainly because Jason doesn't like the program and hid this part of the message board. If it wasn't hidden there's a good chance there would be more discussion. Of course the discussion would ultimately evolve into the fantasy that ISU basketball would be winning nattys if it wasn't for that pesky football program, so in a way I'm glad it is hidden.
