Wonder why the prediction of Purdue is last place if their defense is so talented? I also think they didn’t try hard enough to keep Brady Allen. Man was he a good QB at Gibson Southern.

Too bad this ISU team isn't one of Sanford's good ones. I would feel pretty confident about us winning. We still may pull it out. It's got to happen some time. Should have happened at Kansas a few seasons ago.

I'll have to remember to wear white for that White-Out game on Oct 12 against Murray State. That's one of the ones I'll be able to attend with my truck driving schedule.

Not only will Purdue have the home field advantage, but they will have their own cooling systems on their sidelines to combat the hot temps expected. Add to that, our bench will be facing the blazing sun.
 
I shall go out on a limb and predict the noon sun will be shining on both teams.

And I firmly believe a fact based discussion of an opponent's capabilities is entirely appropriate. When MBB's board discusses upcoming opponents, I don't recall the authors being requested to take their comments to the Drake, Bradley or other fan boards

Isuboiler has been called out for getting on our board, and talking more about Purdue than our team. He didn’t even mention anything about our players or such. He wants to tell us that Purdue will surprise those that picked them last in TB10. Since he has a history of doing that, I graciously suggested he go to The Boiler blog. I’m not the only guy who has called his trolling out.
 
Trolling? Not in this case. Let’s just leave other posters alone. Who cares that he gave some legit info on Purdues team. At least he had some, unlike us ISU fans.

“Our board” considering I post here and graduated from ISU is laughable. I post on both boards. I don’t follow ISU fball since I live in Massachusetts and my cousin is long gone from playing there. On top of that, since Bell has been gone there hasn’t been much to interest me to follow.

I donate to ISU athletics and academics but only closely follow basketball and casually baseball because a few of my friends are close to the program.

If you permit me to talk about Purdue, Brady Allen committed to Jeff Brohm and has since left to go to Louisville with the coach he originally committed to.

I didn’t say the defense would be good. I said, no one really knows because they have a whole bunch of new transfers.

They also have an extremely difficult schedule of four teams ranked in top ten nationally. ND, Oregon, Ohio St and Penn State. Most of those are at home which means “winnable games” will be on the road.
 
Understand that, but he actually went back to Purdue after his First portal appearance, and the new coach takes the guy from Texas. Hudson Card really didn’t move the needle up much on offense last year, but he is A Senior, so maybe he can cut down on the mistakes.
Brady was a huge get for Purdue. Brohm has him 3 or 4 on the depth chart, and for some reason, he’s content with that.
You certainly can like whatever team you want to like. As I said before, and let’s be frank. Purdue is paying us 500k to beat our ass in front of their fans.
If a miracle happens, and we somehow get lucky to win this game, then I will be a very happy camper. I for One appreciate Purdue giving our guys a chance to play in front of a big crowd at Ross Ade. 500k is appreciated as well.

No doubt. When Card was added, he bailed rather than compete. He’d be the clear #2 now unless he’s just not very good. I’ve heard some stories about his dad that make him a challenge to have around.

During the awful Hazell era, the Sycanores gave Purdue all they could handle. I want ISU to do well as a program, it just doesn’t seem like they care anymore or they are just waiting for Mallory’s deal to expire so they can move on.

I heard that story as well about his father demanding Brady to be the starter. I might have to come to the conclusion he’s just not P-4 material. He would be better off stepping down to a MAC or similar level to at least take some snaps.
 
In honor of Calvin Burnett (#5- days to go) who was one of our best CB's during the Miles era. Game was from 2012 where we beat SIU at their place 24-3.

Our offense was a train wreck last year. I have no idea on this years play calling. EIU beat us 27-0 at our opener last year. I would really like to see points on the board this year.
