I’m assuming others like me sent in donations via mail, so all these totals may go up after today. We all tend to be negative on here from time to time. But, I thinks it’s time to give our athletic department and university some love. The buzz around this has been great and is a great first step in raising the funds we need annually.

I have to think with a goal of 150 donors, this has well exceeded their expectations. I do wonder if we will ever know what their original goal was other than 150 donors.

It's great to see athlete's parents and relatives donating as well as players that I can remember from the women's basketball team. It has been a fun day to watch this unfold. Kudos to everyone in athletics and development for pulling this together.

Agreed. Thankful that we seem to have people on staff now that understand that you simply have to ask for money. Novel concept.

It's also a glaring indictment on previous AD and fundraising administrators for not getting together and doing this. How much farther along would our programs and facilities be if they had been doing this for several years?

Today is what drives me nuts about the Hulman Center project - people wanted to give toward that for it to be done right... I'm not sure today does anything to take away the bitterness I have toward that project - but it certainly should make a few of them re-evaluate things moving forward.

You’re damn right about Hulman Center. They didn’t even ask. Blew that one BIG TIME.

it's interesting to look at the donor list to see where everyone is from, I wonder how many are 1st time donors to ISU athletics as well?

Track and Cross Country has edged back in front of football by 3 donations with 5 hours to go, a race to the end, but yes, ALL are winners!

If I'm not mistaken 1k goes to the program with the most donors and another 1k goes to the highest total?? Great incentives.
