Well, possibly they could drop Central Conn St off the schedule and make room for a 1 and 1 ?? Just when it was getting to be a rivaly they run, would LOVE to see us meet in the tourney !!

8400 fans at Hulman, which is a great gym to watch a game. Truly not a bad seat. Gant from ISU did a tremendous job in shutting down McDermott to only 8 points on 10 shots. McD had a poor game, but did not jump out as a great player. I( am not sure his game translates to the NBA. Did not appear to have the explosiveness that the NBA requires from a 6'8 player.

Odum would play 15-20 minutes a game for IU as our first guard off the bench. He is 6'4 and a great ball handler, solid defender and can really find ways to drive to the bucket. Arop is 6'6 and a transfer from Gonzaga, and is a nice player. Mahurin at 6'9 has a solid inside outside game for the Trees. I predict theSycamores make it to the tournament this year. Next year they are top twenty, as the entire team returns! Lansing has done a really solid job with this team. He will get hired away after next season.

Amazed that a IU fan admitted to attending a ISU game.Actually pretty complementary of our players and program.I'm sure at this point any Big Ten team would be glad to have JO on their roster.Also sure Zeller and Watford would love some of JO's passes.

My bias opinion is that he would be starting at PG. But I'm not going to split hairs - 20 min. and first off the bench for the #1 team in the nation.

To me, they are not being disrespectful. Simply showing basketball ignorance, they think that Yogi or Hulls is a better PG than Odum they would simply be incorrect in that assumption. Odum could start at PG for anyone in the country. We discussed it a month ago and some disagreed - I still feel pretty confident he could play major mins. for anyone.
 
Jake would eat Yogi for lunch...the amazing thing that IU fans are missing these days is basketball intelligence, jake isn't going to wow you with dunks and what not, he will wow you by hustle, awareness and possibly the best passer ISU has seen in a long while.
 
Hulls can't defend anyone and yogi is a true fr. I think jake would start over either of them. He is definitely the best all around player of the three. Hulls is your better shooter no doubt but does not bring much else to the table. Jake does pretty much everything well or very well.

Agree that overall this was a good post. We can agree to disagree on Odum's minutes, but I know I wouldn't trade him for Hulls straight up. This was probably about as close as an IU fan can get to complimenting our team.

Really wanted IU to win that one. Don't want Illini getting an at large. Had they lost they would have 3-8 and probably out. Still on life support with a long way to go, but you never know.

HAHA what they used to do to convince us to wear those things was make us watch the Movies then show us how you are checked for Syph . That was more than enough convincing for me .
Funniest thing I ever saw was I had 2 Puerto Rican privates with me while on Linnen Survey during Bootcamp, Myself and one of them had the platoons Laundry in our hands we are walking back to the barracks and come upon a Captain the one who is not carrying anything salutes the Captain looks over at the other whos hands are full and reaches across and salutes for him with his left hand. Now thats shit you cannot help but laugh about . Needless to say we got an ass whoopin when we got back to the Barracks.
