What a tool....Egolf must have gotten the 'hook up' with McWhorter and gang during last Springs takeover of Chicago and Milwaukee.:dead:

His parent's should've gave him the REAL game name, instead of the online version ("E-golf")...might've helped shape his behavior in the right direction.:bigboss:

hope our players see this and make sure to stay out of trouble! most of them are good kids but college kids do a lot of dumb stuff. Just hope our guys are smart about what they are doing. Its easy to go from having a good time to getting in serious trouble. Sucks for Bradley. Looked like they were coming on strong for valley play.

Many of ISU's players had 1st-hand knowledge of what it can do to a team based on LAST SEASON...

Feel bad for the kid, what he did was wrong and illegal. With that said prescription drug abuse is not selective and can happen to anyone. Hope he gets help.

Not sure that I gather your intended meaning, especially the "it can happen to anyone" justification?

Not meant as a justification. He claimed he was buying pills to cope with pain from his knee injuries. Now I am aware that could just be an excuse, but after 3 knee surgeries myself there were/are days that I'd like to be numb. I hope he gets help and if he is being truthful it's time to stop playing ball and focus on his health.

I agree if his knees are so bad he has to but prescription drugs illegally its time to hang up your shoes and focus on life . I find it diffcult to believe in these days of medicine you have to resolve yourself to this . I to am a three time knee surgery patient and never have I felt he need of addiction of the pain meds they pass out afterwards. It might be me but I tried them once and the other 2 surgeries I did without with the exception of Motrin .

Had meniscus and ACL surgery myself and chose NOT to use the pain meds... Ice and Ibuprofen only.. I wanted to get off crutches as quickly as possible, so I wanted to feel any damage that I might be doing while in rehab.

Saying "it could happen to anyone" is stretching the facts...injuries like this occur frequently, but few resort to buying pills off the street. You have team trainers, physicians and a myriad of sports medicine specialists generally "on call" to most Division I programs. Sounds more like the 6th yr. player has a substance abuse problem, which MIGHT'VE been anchored to his knee issues. Regardless, I'm surprised the Bradley officials weren't cued to his behavior PRIOR to this, given his longevity to the program, and the type of injuries he's sustained in the past.
