They should step up. Better travel conditions than The Valley as well. They also have the fan base to support that move as well.
The travel would be considerably worse for them in football, but they could still play SDSU every year if they wanted to. Usually FBS teams don't travel to FCS teams though, but I sort of think that their fan base would demand to keep that rivalry going. With that said, if SDSU continues to be dominant, especially in the absence of NDSU, it probably wouldn't be long before the MWC picks them up too. The MWC is going to need quality football to stay relevant.

They'd remain in the Summit League for everything else, so I think it would be a good move for them. With the extra money they'll get from TV they'll have more than enough money to travel all over the western half of the US. That's one program where they've been so dominant that their fan base has gotten bored with it. Whether they'll admit it or not, no one wants to watch a bloodbath every Saturday.

Teams close yo their state? Colorado, Utah, Nevada? Figured it would be closer than Indiana and Illinois for example.

Their closest opponent (Wyoming) is a 12 hr drive away, and Terre Haute for example is 13.5 hrs and we're their farthest opponent in the MVFC besides SIU, YSU, and Murray St. NDSU is right on the border with Minnesota. They're more Midwestern than Western.

Alright.

It's kind of like your home state of Texas lol. Where El Paso is closer to San Diego than Beaumont; or Texarkana which is closer to Chicago than it is to El Paso. I know, I know, I'm a geography nerd. I can get to about any major city in the US, Canada, and Mexico without a road map.

Understand. But, NDSU does need to move up.

Do their fans agree? Every time I saw it brought up on Bisonville, the majority didn't seem to think they had the resources to do so.

You guys love spending other people's money.
