The good? We're still 9-4 and 2-0 in conference. The bad? This team could be 13-0 (legit) if they had a couple ounces of mental fortitude. If things aren't going well or there is some sort of adversity, they tend to wilt under the pressure and self destruct. The ugly? We lose to bad teams and Evansville is a bad team.

Hopefully the week off, seeing family and friends and recharging gets them to refocus on what got to them to 9-1 before they just forgot everything they did in that first 10 games. That goes for the staff, too.

This game against the Aces is big. Either the players and HCJS figure out what buttons to push and we win easy, or we slide deeper into the abyss and lose to Evansville. And if we lose at home to Evansville any chance we have at a regular season championship probably goes out the window.

Really, really big game that will set the tone for the rest of the season.

I'm just glad we're going to be playing meaningful games the rest of the season against opponents I actually care about. Finishing somewhere in the top 4 needs to be the goal.

Honestly, I expect about 6th place with the mental fortitude I've seen displayed for the last 2 weeks. They have the physical ability to win the conference, but the mental acuity and toughness of a toddler. Just beyond frustrating....I no longer have high expectations....they have beat it out of me. Merry F'ing Christmas from your non fighting Sycamores!!

Good luck vs Evansville, Sycamores. Will be cool to see Coach Ragland in the head coach's position on the sideline.

Haven’t seen much of this so far with JS, but I would like to see us come out with a press to get the guys going early. We have enough depth and fresh legs that this could be what the guys need get us going again.

JS likes to play fast and pressing certainly helps that, but he also understands you have to have players intelligent enough not to foul immediately.

Evansville will be a challenge. Over the years I have seen some crummy Ace teams come to town and kick us around. Sycamores have to get their sh** together in this one or will suffer another disappointing loss.

Does Evill still have a message board? There old one isn't up and running anymore, don't know if they found a new home

BankShot loves him some shitty basketball programs... Dude left Indiana State to cheer for Evansville - one of the few programs in the MVC who annually make us look like we have our shit together.

Your GL-infested hoop perspective would've still had the Sycs in the "Dark Ages"...
I still visit and read the Board & view the games on ESPN+.

Keep posting as I luv your Mahurin-like rants. Must be a THS thing...
