Looked like he was looking for the highlight tonight instead of playing the game

You’re going to get that with him… I’d say most of his passes convert or not are going to look like he’s trying for the highlight. I honestly think it’s just his game - if you want him to only make simple plays and not force the issue to make the highlight plays he’s not going to give you enough to justify the minutes. He thrives off those type of plays and he unlike a lot of people can convert them. Just a tough night for him - it happens. He knows it.

No way any of our teams the last 25+ years would have come out and won that game. Boring crowd Tuesday road game against athletes. This team is different.

Side note….I haven’t seen Augustinas on the bench the last couple games. Any word on that?

Just got back home. Northwestern beat NIU by only 22 and then beat Purdue by 4….

All jokes aside, what a team effort to overcome poor play early on. NIU plays home to UNI in 2 weeks, that’ll be an interesting game

So I don’t know exactly what he looks like, but a tall European looking guy has been in street clothes. Next to Gray tonight and at Bradley

DeKalb, Ill. - Indiana State men's basketball outscored the Huskies 50-28 in the second half to secure their seventh-straight victory this season, 90-67, to improve to 8-1 on the season. ISU remains 2-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference.

He was dressed and on the bench at Bradley. I only recall because all of our players had to take their undershirts off before the national anthem and he was standing next to Miller who blinded me lol

Another thing worth pointing out and it’s been mentioned by some others - watch the guys on the bench during the game most which are not seeing the floor at all. Those guys are up cheering on every made basket - they’re playing for one another or as JS says, “over themselves”.

All this stuff adds up!

Could say he's been our MVP so far

He's been very consistent in terms of what he's bringing to the table and it is desperately needed on this team. His work on the glass and cutting on offense is critical..What i've loved the most the last 3 games is he has spent some time on the other teams "star" PG's and all three of them had less than efficient games against us.. I think his length in those P N R situations has really disrupted those guys flows. You love to see guys buy into a role and then go out there and have it click for them that if they dominate in that role they can be a massive part of the teams success.

1000% every big shot the bench is up and every time there is a sub everyone stands and high fives

As Doc Rivers use tell his teams: Be a Star in your role.

I have to say that watching this year's Kent vs. last year is very impressive. Without tearing the guy down too much - last year, I wondered if his only contribution to this team was going to be a "3-pointer here and there" - and "the reason that Avila stays here"..... He has so much more muscle this year - and he is attacking the glass and cutting to the rim a LOT.... By far our most improved player.

When this happens, you can have a REALLY special team....makes you enjoy the grind SO much more!

Another thing about this team is their attitude on the floor. No whining about calls, just taking care of business. Sometime this year we'll benefit from that change in attitude. Maybe it's a confidence thing, we know we can play and just doing it.

I think the other player who definitely deserves recognition is Julian Larry. The improvements he has made every single year is astounding. He is confident. He's hitting 3's with no hesitation. The play that comes to mind this year was last game at Bradley where Duke Deen went under the screen and JL made them pay by shooting with confidence. I think the last player we saw make this type of improvement was Devontae Brown.

I think he defiantly deserves a lot of credit but I don't love the comparison - at all. I don't really want to get into the "why's" but that's just not a good comparison for me for multiple reasons.
