According Allen Trieu of Scout.com. Nathaniel Williams from New Haven, MI has committed to Indiana State. Nathaniel is a 6'2" 265 lb Defensive Lineman. He typically played Defensive End in high-school. He had a lot of interest from FBS schools. Central Michigan, Michigan State, Eastern Michigan, Colorado, and Illinois are listed as schools that showed interest. He also received offers from Miama (OH) and Toledo.

I'll check it out. Are there any restrictions as to what information can be shared?

I get information from numerous people and websites. I actually subscribe to some websites where I can read articles and watch videos not open non-subscribers. I can share my opinions of videos that I see.

You'll be a great contributor to ValleyTalk. The football forum isn't as busy as the basketball forum, but there's a good group on there to discuss things. A lot of posts right now are coming from NDSU and SDSU fans, as they join the Gateway next fall.

As far as I know, there are no restrictions on posting things. Just a good place to trade football talk with other I-AA junkies! And with ISU looking to move up (is moving down even possible?), you'll be a great resource. But don't stop posting on here...:)

I will check it out. By the way, we will not get lower. We have very talented players and were in desperate need of some good leadership. Let's keep backing the trees. Just think, we may be able to get people to go to the games.

I was in the crowd in 1981 that saw a school record 18,000+ in Memorial Stadium. Going to ISU football games on Saturdays was a typical thing to do back then. I hope we can get that back. A new stadium would certainly help stir up some interest in the program, but if what you've posted about Miles' recruits all ends up happening on signing day, he obviously doesn't need a new stadium to attract talent!!!

I just hope they don't build the new stadium too small. I'd like to see it between 15,000 and 20,000. I'd really like to see 'em do something like University of North Dakota (I think). They built an indoor stadium that seats about 15,000. They use it for football, graduations, concerts, all kinds of stuff. Wouldn't that be cool??? Ah, dreams...

Keep this good info coming!!! And thanks a million for providing it!!!

Indy, not a problem. I actually live two blocks from the stadium so I watch practice two or three nights a week. My brother plays as well so that another reason I am so interested.

I've gotten the opportunity to see all of the stadiums in the conference and a few OVC stadiums in the last couple of years. I think something similar to Eastern Illinois would be nice. I really liked what SEMO had (By the way, we lost that game by 3 on the road last year and our kicker missed two field goals of less than 35 yards and we only gave up one touchdown and that was with 6 seconds left in the 1st half. It made me sick. We have them at home this year, so hopefully we will get that win.) SEMO's stadium was right in the middle of the campus. I would say it sat around 12,000. They had a good student turnout because it was on campus. Ron Prettyman has said numerous times that he would like an on-campus stadium and Coach Miles has echoed Ron's desires.

I believe the school of business and shool of education are both moving to new locations. Assuming those two building will be torn down, this would be a prime location. There is an open lot north of the two buildings, just a thought.

I will keep you posted on more informaiton. It's nice to see others that our interested in Sycamore Football. I attended the press conference in which Coach Miles was announced, he truly believes in Sycamore football. He stated in a Tribune Star interview that he is contacted by many former Sycamores that are excited and re-energized about the program. I'm stoked!

BELIEVE!

There anticipate many signees that I do not have information on. I appologize, but I will get as much information as I can after February 6th.

Jordan Bright Video

Here is a video of Jordan Bright, the 6-7, 225 DE from Wyoming, Ohio, who also played tight end and caught 16 passes last season. He is the starting center on the high school basketball team, too, and, I believe, the team's leading scorer. Sounds athletic to me and the film seems to substantiate it.

Note that he does not line up in a three-point stance.

These two kids are going to be nice on our D-Line. I forsee them both playing a lot next year. Jordan Bright is very long and relatively quick. Nathaniel Williams is very big and strong. I thinkg Williams will move to DT. Jordan Bright will not be able to play up like he did in high school. He will have to put his hand on the ground.

Promising! These are not the type of kids we have been getting. I believe Coach Miles "stole" these kids.

We're on the right track.

Overlooked KMillington64's report on Nathaniel Williams

Sorry, I did not see the earlier report on Nathaniel Williams or I would have worded my post about him differently. Thank you for the great reports.

There are a couple of highlight films of recruits Aaron Archie and Jullian Easterly online. I can't seem to find the one on Archie right now but it was there a week ago. Archie is ranked by one service as the 6th best defensive back prospect in Michigan even though he played linebacker in high school.

There are at least two highlight films on Easterly, ranked by one service as the 42nd best Michigan high school prospect regardless of position.

Easterly finished 5th in the 2007 Michigan state track meet in the 200-meter dash.

Any word on an Offensive Coordinator? I read earlier in the thread there was mention of someone from Stanford & Washington. Anything pan out so far? :sycamores:

If that doesn't work, go to Youtube.com and type in "cass tech archie"

This kid looks promising.

I know this has nothing to do with how the product performs on the field, but has anyone heard if Coach Miles will change those dreadful uniforms? I am partial to the more traditional style than the U. of Miami/USC style. I would like to see us clad in a traditional stripes on the sleeve and down the leg Alabama/Ohio State style uniform with the white ISU helmets from the early 90's like these...
