Read that thread further down..I wouldn't be shocked if slu made JS sign something when they met prior to the NIT that if he went to a different university they would have to pay SLU

I'm not sure how that would be possible since he is still under contract here and SLU will owe us a buyout before we'd release him from his deal.

Richard Pitino could still be a dark horse. Remember his father coached their as well and took them twice to the final four, and three times to the final eight. On the other hand always thought that Schertz could be a fit because of his Tenn relations as well. But, then again the Louisville fan base is very demanding!!
Would they take a chance on a coach like Schertz who has never been to the NCAA Dance ?

I guess I should clarify myself. He doesn’t need to make an announcement during the NIT run. What I meant is behind the seems I hope everyone knows where everyone stands. This whole situation has my anxiety through the roof. I’m hoping for the best expecting the worst. I guess the best part about all of this is now donating to CoC and give what I can.
 
Sycamores starting 5 and 6th man aren’t ACC talent. So hopefully the new coach can keep them together here at ISU next year. Fans have to see that aspect of it as well and not give up on NIL

Schertz signed with SLU which makes it very difficult for him to get out of this.
Whether he wants to or is trying to is up in the air. I believe Louisville lawyers are trying to find a way for him to get out of it.

I don't know what HCJS could have possibly signed considering he is under contract to Indiana State for several more years and I've not been told by a single person that we received the buyout AS WELL AS every piece of info that we've been told is he was still negotiating with us. So someone, like I've been saying for awhile here, is lying.

Further, if he did sign an official contract while under contract with us... that sounds like something that needs to go the legal route.

That's why I originally said that I didn't believe any of this. Also based on his radio interview Schertz with JMV he said he would make decisions 24-36 hours after our season is done. So I'm just going to stick with that. We will find out this week if we lose tonight or with a win end of next week at the latest.
 
Things seem really fluid at the moment.. hahahaha... Hold my beer... UK faithful are calling out for Schertz... SLU and Louisville - get a solid backup plan!

Is anyone else just plain over this SHIT! I am at a point i am just sick of hearing Schertz, SLU, Billionaire Chafitz, Louisville and the educated guesses from assholes like Valvano and Trilly Donavan! It's like when you eat too much of a food you love, to the point it just doesn't even sound good anymore. I am at the point we win, yea, and if we lose let's get the fake pomp and circumstances over that all coaches say heading out the door and see what kind of aftermath Schertz leaves us with.
 
A few times a guy I have about half a degree of separation from had football coaching rumors about him. The go between was his brother so my info (which I never divulged anywhere) was pretty accurate on numerous jobs. It was entertaining how off base some rumors were compared to how often it was accurate.
