Last year was successful. This year was historic. Hate him leaving all you want but ISU basketball hasn’t had many coaches have winning seasons (13) in my lifetime 1980. He had two of them in three years at the school. He was great for ISU and the community. We all wish it was for a longer period of time.

Fair

Re. JS comments to reporter about Dusty May receiving death threats at Louisville. Exhibit #33 JS talks too much! Whatever Dusty told him Josh told a reporter and a reporter did what they do.

Re. JS not taking Louisville job. As South pointed out above - they Louisville wasn’t going to pay his total buyout and he was going to have to be on the hook for some of his own buyout. The job was his - until it wasn’t.

Re. SLU he underestimated his own stock. Indiana State donors rallied. Indiana State fans doubled down for the NIT run and showed out in incredible numbers. He wanted to stay - his players wanted to stay. Ultimately money - specifically our NIL vs SLU NIL was likely the deciding factor in the end.

I’m ready to see what the players do so graves can start somewhere and we really know what we are working with. If graves can keep a couple and we can get a few people end. The only team next year that’s not rebuilding is Bradley. We can still compete for a high seed in St. Louis

I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion that Graves is going to get the nod. I am hearing some coaches names that are also interested - interesting spot for Lansing/Curtis.

Personally, I don’t envy this spot - the deck is stacked against them and a lot of moving parts. 48 hours ago donors were prepared to make this the highest paid job in the Mo Val.

- The next candidate is not likely going to command anything close to that.

- Will donors move some of the funds to the NIL forfeiting tax incentives to bolster our NIL efforts.

- Given timing and Graves/Furr ability to retain some of roster, retain some of the prospect commitments and bring in Hart, is that enough to just roll the dice?

- Does Graves bringing back JO13 as an assistant do anything for you from a value standpoint? Does that help Graves in the eyes of the decision makers?

Just a lot to take into consideration right now - a pivotal hire in our history given the momentum we built in the community, donors and alumni nation wide.

We shall see!

Still can’t believe we believed he was making efforts to “run it back”, but somehow 15 minutes after the game, it was reported he had acceptedthe SLU job. How did this happen if he was being honest?!
The announcement should have been made AFTER the season. It was done correctly,

Your continued lack of comprehension on this topic boggles the mind.

IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS ANNOUNCEMENT OR ANY INANE BULLSHIT LIKE THAT. IT HAS TO DO WITH HOW HE WAS OPERATING BEHIND THE SCENES AND LEADING ADMINISTRATION, DONORS, PLAYERS, AND COACHES ON.

Us, being the community and fans, were just collateral damage he didn't give a shit about.

Again, all he had to do was be HONEST with folks in the background but he continued to play all sides up until the very end.

I assume the people we hired to find a coach has a list of people when they start but I hope the Bama guy gets a call. I would imagine it would be similar offense as we’ve been doing. Look what that’s done for us - got community support too. Strike while the iron is hot

I know half the people don't want to see it, and the other half will claim they don't want to see it but look anyways. But Schertz' stumbling around at the 9:00 mark of his STL press conference will tell you all you need to know about the last month

What did he say?
