What most of us and myself are upset is the way it was handled. Telling us he never spoke to any reporter on or off the record about leaving, that was a flat out lie!! On his

We just have to move on. Let’s take this bump in the road, and keep building. Let’s see if Graves can pull a rabbit out of his hat and keep the core together.

Authentic, genuine statement. Not some BS verbiage. No mention of Deborah makes me smile. Going to be tough to replace but I have faith it will get done! Go Trees

We'll see. We've now go to hope that those that pledged commitments to the contract extension he turned down will stick with the program since many of them are the source of the "misinformed and inane theories" jab. We need to hope that they don't feel some type of way.

Those donors have a meeting this week so lets hope you're spot on and they're committed for the next guy. We absolutely must raise our salary floor with this next hire.

at least we got a statement,
What he should have done{ Told us he had an offer around the 17th of March from Mr. Billionaire, Chaitz SLU, but will coach the team for the rest of the year, like he did at LMU, instead of following him on Twitter, Mr. Billionaire, that would have been the right way.

Instead he completely denied to the Sycamore fan base, that he had any offers saying that they are just rumors, and never spoke to a reporter on the record or off the record. I rest my case

What's so weird he stayed at LMU for 13 years, and drops the ball with ISU after 3 years, and a big slap in the FACE.

Lets learn, move on, and F--- Him Bt he way Mon 10am he is introduced as new coach of Bilikins press conference..Sure Billionaire Chaitz will be leading the group, its in his building

Appreciate this thread. Have not seen many (if any) inane & uninformed theories (from my limited point of view); however, I'm glad JS made his public farewell. I understand the wide range of reaction from fellow Sycamores. Yes, certainly seemed his departure could/should have been handled better by him, yet time to move on, and it's okay if it takes longer for some of us to move on from this. It's the basketball off-season, and we have baseball to root for, so we have time.

I'll choose to remember less vividly how the departure occurred, and will focus more on the very fun 3 year journey. Even in year 1, the team played fun basketball, and you saw the potential. Year 2 was historically a really good year for ISU, 20 win with postseason play. Year 3 was awesome! I'm thankful for JS tenure, though I too wish it would have ended with more transparency. Blaming and being upset takes a lot of energy, and I've stopped both. Have moved on.

S/O to the passionate Sycamore fan base. 81 page off-season thread. Enjoyed reading and learning.
