Even without the numbers I guess maybe I'm not understanding how they are difficult to identify. So you can't identify anyone in the video? Or do you mean just the new guys? That would probably be a better question to ask you.
"The other guy" got me.
primarily the new players but the veterans have not been around long either in most instances with all the changes now each season. not as easy to recognize when most have not been here long.

I was sorta thrown off by the question. So I was not trying not to sound like an a-hole but trying to figure a way to help. I wasn’t going to do a play by play. But if you identify the 5/6 then it’s easy just to call him the other guy.
New players absolutely. The returners maybe outside of the walk ons I feel like you would know who was on the team last year depending on how closely you followed the team. If my other post didn’t help maybe I can try it a different way.
I don't even attempt to learn who the players are anymore. If they produce I'll learn who they are that way. Camp Wagoner and Derick Vorst are the only two players I can name off the top of my head.
I have followed ISU from the Bob Forbes days and miss very few games if any thanks to ESPN & internet streaming etc. I am no longer physically able to attend games but I did my fair share over the years. The first game I attended was in the Arena when John Wooden brought UCLA with Gail Goodrich & team. I was at Purdue game in W. Lafayette when small undersized George Pillow and company beat them. I was in Lawrence KS, Cincinnati & Salt Lake City in 1979. Also went to many other venues and rarely missed attending all home games until the last 4-5 years.
Not trying to sound like a smartass just saying with the constant turnover now year to year thru fault of the NCAA It is harder to identify players that have only been around a year or two or have just arrived.
