Basketfan,
I also attended most of the games you mentioned with the notable exception being UCLA vs ISU.
I do have the program.
If by chance you have any old programs you would like to trade or sell, please get in touch. I am a collector
not a seller. I especially need the 1976-77 HOF Classic program and ISU vs Drake (Jimmy Smith should be on the cover)
Free advice....if you still have your tickets from the final four, do not sell for less than 3K plus.....the value has
escalated. I friend recently sold a pair with a pinhole in each for 3,500. All 1978-79 ticket stubs have value.
Thanx for reading.

Sorry .... wish I had kept them. May have the Final Four ticket stubs around here somewhere; will definitely look around. My trip to SLC was in a motor home to Kansas City, flying on to Utah, first night in Provo & then got a room in SLC. I can remember sharing a table for breakfast on Sunday morning between game days with Fred Schaus & a couple other notables whose names I can't recall. A once in a lifetime experience overall. Also shared a table with Sugar Ray Leonard in Cincinnati.

Basketfan,
Thank you for the reply. Good luck with the Final Four ticket stubs. I hope the information proves
beneficial. As with many things.....Oh, if we had only saved that!!!!! From baseball cards to game programs, etc.
Take care and be well,
John B.

I have my final 4 ticket stubs plus the program all framed up and looking nice. I could consider selling them to A Sycamore fan. Not a dealer.

Bobbyk60,
Good stuff.......as for the ticket stubs......valuable items there. Always glad when someone is a keeper of
"stuff." I have suffered from that particular malady for a long time. As for myself....never a seller....will buy or trade only.
If by chance you ever come across the program for the ISU vs Bradley game in Peoria, aka "the Bird cage game"....
please let me know. It is the only 78-79 program missing from that season. I would pay dearly...or trade. What makes me crazy is the fact I actually attended the game and had the program....and somewhere it was misplaced or lost....damn the bad luck.
If you are local or ever get to T.H., get in touch and you can look through all this "stuff."
Thanx for reading,
John B.
Note.... Bobbyk60.....being a football guy, I also have football programs and guides if you are interested.

I too was at that game in Peoria in the old fieldhouse. Seats up top so close to the heat ducts had to duck down to see the floor. Remember Bird moving to the corner out of the way taking two defenders with him and Carl having a great game. Bird didn't score much or really try to but we still won by 20 ...... good old Dick Versace ...... lol.

Basketfan,
I ran an add in the Peoria paper for two weeks (several years ago) trying to find a copy
of the program.....no luck. I have both road and home game programs from the previous year....Larry Bird vs. a guy named Phegley ( I think).
For anyone who sees this desperate cry for help....I have cash and trade goods for that damn program.
I think I rode with Andy Amey and Bob Warn (he was recruiting a Peoria kid).
Thanx for reading
Note: I think the hardest program to find would be ISU @ Cleveland State on 2/12/77.....less than 1,000 in attendance.
Any road game from Bird's sophomore season are hard finds.....the home games are tough enough....the pocket schedule
for 76-77 is another tough find. Sorry, I can go on for a long time on this subject.

I think we may have a couple of guards that can finish through contact better than some of our past players. (But I have ONLY seen highlights.)

Ya, I am. I have some older football programs. Can you DM me with details? I’ll give you my email for pictures as well.
