If his jumper progresses he is probably the best man for the job. If not he might be too much of a liability when it comes to spreading out the defense to start...If they feel confident enough to eventually start him you could even see Miller/Howard and Key out there with him. There is no guarantee that Neese is a starter this year.
Agreed. I think we have enough scoring throughout the roster that we can live with him being a pass-first PG, but he still has to have enough confidence and ability to hit an open shot when it's given.
I worry most about turnovers and defense with young PG's. If he can take care of the basketball and defend well, he'll get plenty of playing time. I worry a bit about turnovers with this roster (Bacote, for example, doesn't have the best track record for controlling the basketball), so if Larry can be an asset in that department that would be a huge plus.
I really liked the part about the coaching staff mentioning he picks up on defense full court. Also, Larry said he likes to play fast and our offense wants to play fast. We have the horses and depth this year to do so.
