I see her grandma doing Water Aeribics @ the "Y" almost daily. She's proud of her lil' grandbaby!

Yeah that Mile that Vaughn ran was sick, that dude just keeps plugging away - he is a heck of a runner for only a Sophomore. He is going to be excellent by the time everything is said and done with.

Yeah I so screwed up the statesman story lol...I was doing Bkinsey's edits last night and realized....I know nothing about track...except for John Madden Concept's of if we run fast we win lol...good job guys lol

Doubtful - but I have heard stories before... Quite interesting, I am impressed with you knowledge!

Coach McNichols always one to tell good stories, tells a good story about Mark Spitz (swimmer obviously, not runner) I think he said something along the lines of, I showered with Mark Spitz once, lol. That's not verbatim but Coach is always good for stories...

I do believe that 880 yard race he ran in 1:44.3 in Terre Haute converted to a 1:44.9 in 800 meters. Maybe someone with a little more running knowledge than myself can speak to this, Jerseyshore where are you when I need you?

Looks like you're on the money...

You talk about Spitz...LOL...1/2 the U.S. Olympic Swim Squad in '72 were Doc Councilman's boyz from Bloomington! There wasn't another program in America that could touch them.

Funny, but whe ISU placed such great emphasis on "minor sports" during that era, EVERYONE was cued to these spectacles. Today, they're lucky to get page 3 sports section coverage.
