And Creighton & Wichita State bolted the league during GL's term and where is the Sycamore program after all that? Still have to fight to avoid the play-in every damned season. Top 3 my ass ..... only new leadership will fix the problem .... read my post signature. Even Valpo defeated Illinois State twice in Normal & SIU limped into Hulman Center ..... one good win so far - Loyola.

I think he is as athletic as Brown, but they are definitely different builds. Larry is built like a QB and Brown was built like a RB. The fact that you say he is a better ball handler does bode well because really he just needs to focus on that and first step quickness to try and get by or create separation. Those sort of drills are also much easier to move from practice to game day as well as he isn't just going to develop a J over the course of the season.

In any event, I'm just trying to throw something at the wall to make him a serviceable player in his current form.

I understand what you're saying and heck I hate to be so down on the kid... Again, I think the fact that he's in the situation he is to begin with 2 SR PG's supposed to be ahead of him is ridiculous to say the least. I need him to be serviceable in the future for sure. It kind of goes to my point we were talking/joking about yesterday...

I can live with a PG not being a big time scoring threat. If you are really good on D. If you are a really good floor generally. If you see the floor really well. If you make really good decisions. Other people score because of that and I can live with you not scoring... But I'm not seeing those other things and that is what upsets me. He was sold to me as one thing and what I am seeing is something else. DyedBlue says it's in the #'s if you look at +/- he's not as bad as I am saying... Okay fine. Lansing obviously thinks he is much better than I am saying... So perhaps I am the one that is wrong - but I'm just calling it as I see it. This is no Jake Odum who got away with having a so/so to below average outside shot.
